Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. 82° this morning, possible showers around 5PM. Another day of 7AM-7PM, we did get a little wood therapy done, had to set up lights, buck a couple logs before getting Blue Samson going. Quit close to 10PM.
Maybe more will happen this evening.
I was able to pick up 2 more totes this morning.

Mid-70's and muggy today. Heavy rains forecasted for this afternoon. Possible severe weather.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. 72°, mostly cloudy, predicted mid 80's, I think. Another day of 7AM-7PM. Coworker called yesterday, wife should be getting out of hospital soon, he's taking the weekend off......short notice...but I can work, have 7 day (84 hr) check......
It rained about the time I got home, but stopped in time for some wood therapy... ...
My hunny was perfecting her cheesecake skills...

Maybe more wood therapy this evening.

Sawdust Man friend of mine posted a picture of another load of South GA tall pines, probably slash or long leaf...
He called that the money load...
Looks like more is hanging off the trailer than on...
I wish you could saw them into lumber.

 

Nice logs there!
Probably going for power poles, those pay very well in my experience.
I would love a chance to make a bunch of lumber outta prime logs like that.

Yep, my friend said they were destined to be transmission poles.
He said they were slash pines and came from the county I live in......
I didn't think any were left like that here...

 

Good morning, members.

Decent day ahead. Temps in mid-70's, sunny with lowering humidity.

We received just under 2 inches of rain yesterday. Multiple tornado alerts were sent. Nothing here. But, possible funnel clouds touched may have touched down in the region.

Hurricane Lee is on everyone's mind for Saturday. We'll be on the western edge. Hopefully Nothing more than breezy rains.

Planning to work on the barn rebuild some more today.

Finished the demo yesterday, the we started the rehab by fixing/doubling the end truss to bring it out the the correct plane for the corner posts.

Morning all. Yesterday was so foggy we couldn't see the road below us. But it cleared off and we had a warm afternoon. This morning the fog is moving around here and there and the sunrise is going to gorgeous. Last night was very calm and clear so I tried to get a picture of the huge sailboat anchored out in the harbour. The red mast light is almost level with out house. Not a great picture.
