Had to go to funeral home again yesterday. I guess this is not going to stop. This time a young lady who grew up about 1/4 mile from us. She leaves a 9 year old child behind. Sad. Got cancer just 3 months ago and she went fast. RIP.

    Good morning, members.

Another summer day. Upper 80's and muggy.

My brother arrived yesterday, ahead of his 2 daughters and 3 grandkids. Plans are to have the 4 guys "camp" overnight in our screenhouse. The 3 gals, in the house. They all return tomorrow to Maine.

Some prep work and a grocery run, are on my to do list.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

    Good morning y'all.

68/85 muggy it rained just enough last night to boost the humidity back up to miserable.

Planning to work on the pole building some more today.

    Yesterday's progress... IMG_20230706_132017.jpg IMG_20230706_143712.jpg IMG_20230706_171327.jpg

Unfortunately the lumber has surface mold, because it's just too humid to air dry lumber right now.....it won't hurt anything... but it's sure not pretty, and it's frustrating to cut fresh lumber and have it look like recycled material.

    Y'all have a blessed day!

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. My weekend to work 7AM-7PM shift. We got the big yard cut, done by 1:30...a tad warm... 0706231346.jpg
I took the bagger off and Miz Carol started cutting our grass, I started cleaning up around the woodyard. Loaded the trailer with the big knotty chunks for the hunting camp... 0706231706.jpg
It was still hot when we were done... 0706231634.jpg
Got to change a couple pulleys on the mower tonight.
    Be blessed, be a blessing...

Morning all. Fog and overcast. Yesterday it burned off and it was quite warm. Our youngest daughter and family had a very successful hiking trip last weekend. Now waiting to hear that the oldest and her husband are safely back off the water. I should hear tonight.
Last day of work. Yeah! Time for a break.

    MikeInMa enjoy your family visit.
Sawdust Man we have a humid climate but not like that. The building is really coming along.
T.Jeff Veal I can't image working outside in that kind of weather. 80 F is hot, hot, hot here.
Backwoods Savage sorry to hear about the young woman.

    Everyone have a great day.

That is crazy weather. It reminds me of one time my wife and I made a trip. We got only as far as NC and turned around as we just could not take that weather. We didn't even have air conditioning in our vehicle because when you live in the UP air conditioning is not a requirement. I'll never forget when we crossed that big bridge and rolled our windows up because it was so cool but we tanked the Lord for it.

This old wood box was made by my father-in-law as a boy while he lived on the family farm. He is now 91, so it has held up well.

    Good morning y'all.

73/83 cloudy & humid, with an allegation of possible thunderstorms.

More working on the pole building today.

Didn't get much accomplished yesterday, on account of the weather being so unbearable.....

It might be another rainy day. We prayed for rain and it worked. Now we need to pray it will stop for a while.

    Good morning, members.

More muggy summer weather. Showers possible later.

Everyone survived "camping" in the screenhouse. I suspect a nap will be in my future.

Morning all. Heavy overcast and fog. All the decks are wet and so is the grass. We probably will get sunshine later today.

Peter, John and the believers in the early church were filled with the Holy Spirit. Healing the lame, the sick and the blind along with prayers and praise kept them busy. Dedication to spreading the gospel among the people created unity within the group. Today as we share the good news of salivation, we will draw closer in unity in Christ.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
    1 Corinthians 15:58

    Happy Sabbath everyone

    Good morning, members.

The weather needle must be stuck. Another hot muggy day ahead. Possible showers this afternoon. Widespread rain overnight.

We're back to just us two here. We enjoyed having a house full, even if only one night. My folks were visited by their 3 great-grandkids and two of their five grandkids.

Cleanup and laundry are on today's list, after picking some on-site blueberries.
