    Overcast 51⁰. Low 70's later, chance of a shower.

    Mrs MikeInMa tested positive for covid. She started on Paxlovid yesterday. Fingers crossed I can avoid it. Doesn't seem likely.

    67/80 with rain on the way, as per the liars.

    The plan is to haul cedar logs today....
    I'm estimating 10 to 15 loads to go.
    We cut til around 3pm yesterday, then hauled two loads out.
    It's 9 miles of some of the Ozarks
    finest examples of horrible roads, then another 31ish miles of paved road for a total of 40ish miles round trip.....all that for 5 miles as the crow flies!

    Morning all. Overcast this morning with the forecast saying no clearing until midnight. It may be the fires burning on the mainland but there isn't any smoke colour in the clouds. It is warm this morning. Our friend who was evacuated from her community is safe but her section of town is threatened. The whole town could go up in flames. Unreal situation this year.

    MikeInMa sorry to hear about Covid descending on your household. Had to like your post. I pray it is a quick light case for both of you.

    Peter and the disciples were waiting in Jerusalem for the gift that Jesus promised to send them. As they prayed together with one mind and heart, the sound of a mighty wind was heard. Flames of what appeared to be fire appeared and rested on each person. The gift of the Holy Spirit had been given them. Power, courage and strength to go out and preach the gospel flowed through each of them. The ability to speak another language to reach the many different speaking people in Jerusalem for the feast of Pentecost was given to them. Thousands heard the gospel in their own language. What an incredible experience! The Holy Spirit is waiting to empower you to share the gospel with those around you. Ask for it and then reach out and share the good news! Jesus loves us!

    How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Psalm 133: 1

    Good morning. Wife and I went to a wedding last night. Cool and breezy here. Thermometer at the garden says 48. Fish fry for her family later today. We are doing the coffee for our church services this morning so I will get another pail of coffee grounds and filters for the compost heap.

    I feel OK. A coughing fit now and then. My feels like it's in a tunnel.

    The Mrs has longer duration coughing fits, and a worse cough than I have. She had the cough for a couple of days before covid became our reality. I got on the anti-virals the same day I felt a cold coming on.

    Overall, we seem to be better off today than yesterday. :thumbs:

    Morning all. Another overcast morning with sunshine promised later. We are headed over to Mom's today for a visit and chores. Heard from my friend who was evacuated. They got rain in their area so hopefully they will be back in their community. I am surprised that they got rain at all. Answers to prayer.

    MikeInMa I hope the duration of the illness isn't too long. I hope you can sit outside and enjoy just sitting.
