Should be a better day today. I got through yesterday but it was a struggle. I had a terrible headache through the night then all day yesterday. Finally, this morning it is gone. It will be a brighter day today.

We may not get to 60 today and already there is a frost warning for tonight. Crazy weather.

I took these pictures on one of our barn roofs. That is not pine needles; we call it oak trash or oak straw. Naturally we have it every spring from the red oaks but I don't recall it ever being so heavy as this year. I had been gone for a few days and when I returned, everything was brown and covered with it.

I had the leaf blower out yesterday. That stuff likes to collect in front of the outside door, which then tracks inside. A seasonal chore.

Good morning, y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. 64°, heading towards 80, cloudy. Another day of 7AM-7PM shift. Got a small tote of campfire wood ready to deliver this evening, then we stacked, split and stacked more oak last night. We'll see what the evening holds today.
    Be blessed, be a blessing...
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Morning all. It has been busy. I have been caught up in the library database project I have been doing for Mom. After a overcast, windy and cold weekend, it is now starting to clear up and get warmer - maybe?

MikeInMa congratulations on your parents' 70th anniversary
Sawdust Man enjoyed the pictures of the dogs.
Backwoods Savage when I wake up with headaches (a lot of the time), I am fortunate that in getting up and getting moving helps them dissipate.
T.Jeff Veal we have been priming and painting siding before it gets installed. I thought of the clay that must be in it that might have been processed by you.

I am running late so I am off.

    Everyone have a great day.

    Good morning y'all.

    60/85 sunny.

Didn't get done with the sawing job yesterday (the pile was bigger than it looked) so back to finish it today.

Hauled the first load with the new/old pickup yesterday.... IMG_20230524_170415.jpg IMG_20230524_170218.jpg IMG_20230524_182748.jpg

Home Hardware BeautiTone My favourite paint over the past years was General Paint, a Canadian product but it was bought out by Sherwin Williams and we don't see it here anymore.

Morning all. Up early this morning to get campinspecter out the door for a load of firewood. He didn't go yesterday as he didn't get enough sleep the night before. He stayed home and got a lot done around the house instead. I think we are in for a warm day here. Yesterday was clear and sunny with a cold westerly in the afternoon. Our usual summer day with no fog in the morning.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! 48F and partly sunny. Heat starts to crank up tomorrow. Filled up the roadside stand when I got home from work last night. Then I scrounged a yard cart full of shorts that were bone dry with plans to split. I pulled the splitter out of the shop, gave it a yank to start and the cord didn't retract. 2 metal tabs inside broke loose from the cheap plastic housing. So I ordered not 1, but 2 recoil starters on Amazon (different part #s but they look identical and I'm not sure which one is right). No splitting until at least Saturday afternoon and I'm off tomorrow. :headbang:I'll probably spend some quality time in the skid steer getting things cleaned up and organized. Prayers ongoing for Chazsbetterhalf and Chaz.

I looked up the paint company. Pretty neat. Sherwin Williams used to make the BeautiTone paint for them, so I know it had our clay in it. SW is probably our biggest customer. I'm sure the Home Hardware Co uses our products, we have several distributors around the world, besides the big name companies.

Speaking of warm. It is now 34 degrees and by next Wednesday they are saying we might get to 89 degrees. That does not sound good except for any vacationers. But, we should not need much firewood next week.
