So sorry for your loss. She was obviously special, and was with a special family. They do have a way of letting us know when it is their time. It is so hard to make the decision, but letting them go with dignity and humaneness is the price we pay for the special relationship we have with our furry friends. Hope you find comfort in fond memories.

So maybe a final and fitting end to Duchess passing. Weeks back I posted on my sig about it having to warm up to have a sundog around here. My wife had (had) a dream that she recalled that morning, and Duch was in it. I never really thought about it until yesterday. Duch came to visit me in my dreams, and it was summer, she was younger, and very happy and running around and playing. Even in my dream I was in disbelief (I didn't know it was a dream at the moment, just didn't understand how she was back). Poof, I woke up. Embarrassed to admit but I was happy and sad at the same time. We never got much time to say goodbye the day she left as she was busy having seizures, so maybe this was her way to come say goodbye. Recalling the dream to my wife, what do I see? A sundog. Call me kooky, I don't care.
