I always ate ham and tater chip sandwiches but it had to be plain regular old Dutch chips. The really good heavy on the grease kind. on the funeral sandwich buns too.
Sheesh! Fancy! Cooked bologna? Is that mayo?? And cheese? That's just showing off! Oscar Meyer, French's and Lays were what mine were made of. Salt, salt, salt and some bread. lol
I have stopped with the sports drinks and now buy electrolyte powder to mix my own. less sugar and less money. I get enough sugar with my daily coffee intake.
Looking back on all of the decades I have been going into the woods for firewood, I have only ever brought along water for myself. And maybe a cigar for the ride home! (.......well, in the last 10 years anyway)
Water and lots of it especially in the summer. Usually I will mix in a Snapple iced tea or a gatorade just to switch it up some. As for food, I like to eat a small handful of cashews or a piece of fruit on a drink break. Can't stand to be working on a full stomach and it's even worse when it's hot out.
Agree on the heat. My weekend breakfast is hearty buy not belly busting. Usually gets to digest for an hour or two before I get real active.
I rarely eat breakfast, and never really feel like eating anything before 10AM. If I know I'm going to be doing something hard and won't be able to eat until lunch I'll get a giant spoonful of peanut butter and a big glass of milk. Takes 2 minutes and keeps me going all morning.
I've been trying to drink more water oddly I'm inspired by my dog. He's 14, drinks about 2 gallons a day and has full joint motion and very little arthritis. Still chasing critters and eats a chitload. I can hardly walk, back hurts and my range of motion sucks. Only issue is to be the same id need 13 gallons a day!!
And....besides all that........he can lick himself in spots that the forum won't allow us to list!!!!
I used to drink very little water. Embarrassingly low amount. A big fat kidney stone was needed to change my habits. All I want now is spring water.
