Thank you. I hope she feels the same way as we get through the next couple of weeks.

Megaphone arrived, they open most the boxes, saw it and called dibbs on it  WWW want's it for the boat trip they're doing later this summer. So, I bought another one for me at home since the first is now in the boat

I'm going to use a black sharpie on it that says MOMMIE. Upside down it looks like WOWWIE :wacky:

Friend will be hugely missed. Her health wasn’t the best the last little while and two Fridays ago she went out with me in the morning but didn’t come back in the afternoon when I got home. She’s been my velcro buddy since she was dumped 13 years ago. Especially liked, when we cleaned fish and crab, when the smoker fired up and really liked the wood stove each fall.

Some of my favorite picture memories of the local sidewalk superintendent.

Max has been kinda lost looking for her. We don’t get enough time, make sure to enjoy the time you do get.

Timber had her 7th birthday Friday. Well that's the day that we gave her as her birthday. She hasn't complained. Amazingly she puts up with the tutu and crown.

Don't let that tutu fool you. She's feisty. PXL_20250607_010457458.jpg

Condolences for the loss of your Friend. She obviously knew she hit the jackpot when she found you since she stuck so close. I hope your wonderful memories of her help ease your grief.

I'm so sorry, Spotted Owl! Losing a part of the family when they pass is the hardest part of having a pet. You're so right, love them and enjoy them while they're here!

Birthday Boy a few days ago. Year old. He’s got about 8 weeks left before he goes for training.

Woops, dog caught(yes it's dead) a sparrow today. In the chicken run, poor lil birdie almost got away several time. Doggie just weaved through/jumping over the chickens lol. Lil bird fought hard, almost got away like 5 times. Good girl dropped it at the door as I was walking in from opening the chicken coop. Chickens were curious and studied/pecked it a few times. Hours later it's gone, no idea where it ended up.

Extra protein for the chickens probably. Although, one would think there would be bones and feathers left.

I walked into the kitchen to find this conclave. Must have been something interesting out there. On the counter is Spot. Rainey is on floor on the left and Lila to the right

Nice to see Lila has joined the group. It has been awhile since you posted pictures of her.

Everyone has done well together. None of them are BFFs, not even the two sisters, but for the most part respect each other and will play together when the mood strikes. Lila is diligent in watching and studying. She watches what I do, watches the other cats, and interactions / reactions - like that person at a party who stands in the corner figuring out what group to join and starting out from the outskirts.

Spot is the boss, but she picks her battles so isn't overbearing. If she wants my lap while someone else is on it, she just stands over them and glare until they jump off. She will "bop" Rainey if she doesn't move fast enough - that is sister interaction for you LOL Once Spot has settled into place, other cats are welcome to lay on my legs, or stomach. Pictures are of Rainey and Lila on my legs 5/31/2025 (yes, it was cold and dark out). My guess in the first picture they are watching Spot to see if they need to move.

    Rainey and Lila on lap-first.jpg

20 minutes after the fist picture, Rainey and Lila were comfy and relaxed. Spot is probably on top of the pellet stove soaking up the warmth (neither Rainey or Lila get on the pellet stove).

Spot gets the kibble bowl first and the other two will sit a couple feet away until she is done. But she also only laps up the gravy of the canned food and will leave the rest for Rainey (they all get their own dish with a teaspoon of canned).
