We will be up that way for the eclipse but won’t have much spare time. We do like to camp in Grand Isle.

Got it. Every situation is different. We've had our dogs taken care of at other people's homes as well.

Our dogs pretty much have free reign in the house. Knock on wood, but the worst where had recently was Hayden trying to show off to Timber that the plastic toilet bolt hold down covers are a fun toy. I'll live with that, but for a while we don't have the plastic covers on those bolts now. Goofball :wacky:

    Lol

Is he/she pure husky? I know huskies are typically not great off leash, but you're looks like a joy. We haven't tested Timber off leash out of the fenced in yard yet. She's black mouth Cur and husky. She follows me and and comes when called but I haven't tested her out outside of the fenced yard yet. I think I'll be surprised because she's super good about staying close. Hayden used to be good about this too, but followed the a-hole neighbor's shepherd to his yard a year ish ago and that was fun. Had more words with that neighbor then. Thought I was going to have to drop him in in his yard. This German Shepard is actually nice, unlike his mom's last one, but his owner is a POS that has serious problems.

That was definitely fun, and fun for the pups off that long road trip. They definitely earned that after being so patient. We hit up other places like the Vermont dog chapel, and many other dog parks and other areas to get them exercise, but hanging with you and your family was a definitely a highlight.

She is not full bred husky she has some other mix too. The coloring, the howling and behavior is all husky. She is “off leash” but she has her e collar on.

She does well with it during the daytime. She is on leash outside during dawn, dusk or night. She really taps into her lizard brain at those times and she really likes to get into mischief in a hurry, but for the most part only at those times. She’s gotten better with age.

The collar has beep and vibrate function and it it normally ends there. She gets a reminder and responds to commands. On the rare occasion she may need a neck spanking.

Yesterday was a whirlwind… we left in the middle of a snowstorm to go pickup our sweet boy Tucker. The doctor called on our way down with a great report.
we get to the clinic, do all the discharge paperwork, pay the massive bill…

they then put us in an exam room to wait for them to bring Tucker in and show us what care we need to give him..

Much to our surprise, HE WALKED INTO THE ROOM !!!! :bug:
