The classic problem with dogs: The more you exercise them the more you have to have to exercise them. Mine get 5 miles or so in the morning and another 2+ in the evening. (And I get the same ). If they get the 5 in the am they pretty much sleep all day. Then in the evening they get ornery and it’s time for another walk. After that there’s peace in the house.

So your dogs get to take a nice long nap during the day while you are at work and then they are rested when you get home and are ready for their second walk of the day. When do you get to take a nap?:sleeping::sleeping::banana::banana:

It’s not really a problem for us. I feel like it’s part of our obligation bringing him into our lives. My buddy don’t really have a horse in that race and would rather just let him out a couple times a day and call it good.

    Need some prayers folks….
E2DCEAB5-B0DA-4A0E-9FD2-66B9336C7FE0.jpeg our boy Tucker ruptured a disc in his back yesterday… first indicator looked like he had a muscle cramp, slower getting up and down the stairs… then by mid afternoon could not walk. Took him to an emergency vet, not much they could do last night. This morning he had no feeling or movement in hind legs. Was able to get him into a neurologist today, 4 hour drive away. MRI showed ruptured disc, with material spread a couple vertebrate away… surgery was completed at 9:30pm today… he was awake, with a guarded outlook. I have had 3 hours sleep total since 5am yesterday … wife and I are a train wreck right now…
    Get well soon buddy…..
Ps… this is just a cute pic from my gallery… not one of him injured….

Oh. so sorry to hear about what you both are going through. It is so hard when a member of your family is in trouble.

Our sweet boy Tucker’s 48 hour post op update…..

Pulled through surgery like a trooper!!!

No sign of Myelomalacia yet ( dying of the spinal cord) but could still present itself and become fatal.

Deep pain Negative still. Neurologist says this result is not surprising considering how fast the injury progressed.

He is resting comfortably , we are getting throughout our days a bit better….

These are baby steps, but we will take them !!

Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes… keep them coming. We are hoping to be able to bring him home this Friday… His brother misses him badly too !!
