Everything I own and use is covered in "AUGIE" fur. His double coat, so soft and silky is a virtual hair machine.

I had a cream colored shep/husky X that lived 16 years, much of it WWW and I wore nice business clothes/suits. We went through a ton of packing tape all those years.

Wifey just found some pictures of a pup we rescued many years ago...He was kicked or thrown around and it stunted the growth in his leg, so he limped. The dog loved to fetch, he would chase a ball all day long, but it hurt his leg. We took him to OSU and they lengthened the leg to match the others. He had a lot of issues, but Vinny was a good boy. These are phone pictures of a hardcopy print (low quality)

I had about 20 friends help on Sunday pull quite a bit of perimeter fencing around the property. Thanks again NH mountain man for volunteering your time! Maple has always behaved and stayed put but Birch is another story! I stretched and tied one section yesterday and it took a good part of the day, lots to finish and I expect it'll take the rest of the week.

Ding Dong doggie ran away for almost a 1/2 hour today. I didn't realize for 20 minutes.... Glad she comes back when we call but it's not cool for her to leave our property which she's done several times this summer. Anywho, I keep smelling a sweet fragrance here and there, can't tell what since smell still diminished from Covid. Thought it was the dishwasher running but it wasn't. IT'S HER! Her back. Who what and how, the possibilities are endless but I'm wondering if she visited someone sunbathing or fishing or something? :sherlock::sherlock::sherlock:

Well, pretty sure, bad smells is like rancid chemicals. I asked husband to sniff and he said she kind of like perfume. Could have been sunscreen or herbal bug spray, something with a pleasant smell.

Lol, we have a long history with skunks over the years, this new one somehow has not been skunked. Yet. That said---husband caught one under a rear wheel on the way to get a tank of water this morning. His truck is not garage tonight, it'll be in the driveway for awhile.

My wife and I started calling skunks stri-ped kitties, and the dog loves em. Every stinkin in year the dog has been sprayed. One year she got sprayed directly in the mouth and it stunk horribly when she would pant. So farm 2023 has been skunk free, *knocks on wood*.

The annual skunking, soaping and hosing down of 2022.

Garcia became a pet on Thursday, 16 days after he left. His elbows aren’t up to snuff so he was released. In the guide dog raising community, dogs that are rejected get called ‘career change dogs’. So our current puppy now has a big brother to keep him in line. And we have the best ‘reject’ of pet that you could ever hope for.

It was more emotional getting him back than it was sending him off, something that I didn’t expect. It was sad in a way after putting so much effort raising him so he could help someone and then having him get rejected for health reasons and it not happening. People often say that they could never give a dog up, but I was feeling the emotions way more when I picked him up.

The below photo of him looking back in through the gates at the kennels where he was he was and hearing the dogs bark couldn’t have been posed better. It was Garcia that did it. I was making all sorts of noises trying to get him to look at me and he wasn’t listening. When I look at the picture now I just about cry. People often take goodbye photos of their puppy in front of the gates (looking at the camera) when they drop them off. His goodbye is just the opposite.
