The fi collar doesn't have that type of feature. I like into those types but wasn't impressed.

Unfortunately I need to fully fence the property. It'll be 48" high with an eventual hot wire across the top at around 60"-64" this is my only option to keep him here!

We had an electric cattle wire for several years for our Brittany. It was around the bottom of our fence as she'd dig out, she went through once , she yelped a few times and the hair on her back was smoking. She never did that again.

I bought one of the shock collars a few months back for the lab. He decided that the neighbors land was his property also.

Yeah, after we caught him leaving a few times, I gave him a jolt. Probably three different times, maybe four and that was it. The collar has been put away after only a couple weeks of use. :handshake:

We had a changing of the dog this week. It was time for Shepard that we’ve had for a year to go back and be trained to be a guide dog. He was a really nice dog to have around. In addition to him leaving we were queued up to get a Lab puppy. Coincidentally he was 7 weeks old and ready to go out to a family the same day. We raised the Lab’s daddy before the Shepard. This puppy is from his eighth litter.

Not supposed to mention the dog’s real name online, so I’ll call him ‘Skunk Breath’. Skunk went on his first hike this morning. Walked about 2.5 miles before he decided it was time to be carried.

It’s bittersweet saying goodbye to a puppy. We shed a few tears but you also feel real good about helping a vision impaired person to have their independence. All in all it’s a rewarding experience. It’s nice to always have a puppy and we don’t pay the vet bills.

What a nice dog and cute puppy! I would have a hard time sending a dog back but I understand the big picture.

Must be tough to return a dog, but you have become someone's hero by providing their future guide dog.

Wow, 2.5 miles for a puppy, he has some wnat-to!

    :picard:

A fourth stay cat on my patio late last night. So five now, and two of those that I've seen are missing an eye (heard there was one more without an eye but haven't actually seen the 3 one). Idk, could have been a chlamidia litter, but how would they survive if the eyes were that bad? And *IF* they eyes were that bad their butts would have been too = death. Idk, creepy. Maybe the jackwagon that brought the new intact female here and turned her loose a couple years ago treated them?

3 of them are similar shape and size and coloring which I think are litter mates, one has eye missing. Their mother (the one turned loose by low class ignorant neighbors son who "rented" the mom's house but now moved to town) has the same eye missing. The new stray last night is colored like a Himalayan, but dark chocolate points and dark tan coat, ~short/medium hair. Grrr, how many will be here next spring now? I'm not able to TNR anymore.

It’s the light. No shave. Just nonstop shedding.

We had two German Shepherds at the same time. I swear they shed for any reason including the fact that they are shedding.
