Interesting little doggie:rofl:  I walked outside to see how the bike repair was going and family and dog were gone. Walked out road to look for them thinking they were on a test ride, heard a whistle, there's husband waving at me from a neighbors patio one lot away and I waved back. Sweet doggie was next to him wafting her arms/paws like husband only back at my wave. She watches for the bus and gets excited and whines when it comes into sight, I wave at the driver when they pull up and she does too! Kid rode bike back from neighbors to invite me, rule is she cannot ride alone, thus must take dog ... but goof ball doggie is still next to husband over there smiling and watching us instead of chaperoning the kid LOL

I've had many dogs, never encountered one that uses her front paws/legs/arms like this one. Put it this way, her and the cat are relaxing watching the fire, 6 lb cat playfully bats her, she'll bat the cat right back, except she can't bat him back gently so it's more of a bonk lol. It's hysterical, she does it with humans too like "Say Say Oh Playmate". Rides in the FJ Cruiser were always hilarious with the back seat folded forward, she had full punching/pawing/batting advantage on us in front seats.

I worked really hard to make sure she is a family dog after the poodle nightmare, apparently her personality and my (unwelcomed insistence they take her without me, they both were still hesitant from the poodle) payed off in spades!

What a hoot it would have been to get that on video.

Some from our weekend waiting to load in Savannah GA Monday.

no real open spot to go toss the ball for her.

This seemed to be her favorite sleeping position.

She has to see or touch me.

And she loves her belly rubs.

sorry to hear of your lab. have had pups around me all my life, it is never easy to say goodby. I am a mean old codger but I still misty eyed everytime i think about any of my 4 footed companions of the past. lost a springer last Dec. that still hurts. Her sister is still affected by her passing as well. Bell was 11+ Sky will be 12 next month

That’s Millie our German Shorthair Pointer while we were in WI a couple years ago hunting Grouse and Woodcock. We had to say goodbye to her in Feb at age 14-1/2. My bird hunting days are likely now in the rear view mirror. Thanks for asking :)

Thanks! Glad your husband still gets out there, I may need to find a new friend that owns a bird dog;)
