    I left her in the truck because she might wander too far, she might get hurt, I could get hurt running a saw and paying attention to her, a round could roll her way. Too many reasons.

    Also she really likes truck rides.

    They used to love being right in the middle of whatever was happening 8 yrs ago. Our Giz on the left and son's Yukon and Kailala. They are over that rainbow bridge now... can still hear Giz shreeeekin once in a while, when the winds howl... ;) Miss em all...

    I have a friend that has 2 great pyrenese and a significantly sized property. He uses these fi colars for when they get out and wander miles away.

    Bogie way back in 1986, as a pup in Kansas

    Bogie - in NH, sometime in the 1990's. Because of hi long hair, everyone thought he was Malamute. But his mother was purebred husky and father was 1/2 husky and 1/2 wolfhound. The half the litter was long hair and the other half short hair - but all had the classic husky markings.

    Think Niki might have had some Husky in her as well as lab (and maybe shepherd). She had a massive undercoat during the winter. She was a rescue that we got in NH. That is the old Ford flatbed behind her so that pic has to be in the early 90's

    Lost them both within 5 weeks of each other spring of 2001.

    So hard to loose them. :( Mine was Niki too! We got her from a small pup like your pic. She was apparently husky, wolfhound and newfoundland mix. Best dog ever! Dad used to get 2-3 walmart bags of hair off her when he brushed. We found it for years after she was gone. Thanks for sharing your old pics. Made me remember how much she loved the snow.
