Lila barn cat brought kiddo a chipmunk she caught and laid it at her feet. It was still breathing and not torn up. We brought it in, water, chest stimulation, lil guy is in an empty aquarium now. I have NEVER seen a chipmunk or squirrel here the last 9 years. Turns out it's a 13 Line Ground Squirrel but is shaped like a chipmunk. Will let it go tomorrow morning if it makes it overnight but I don't know where out here without it becoming prey.
He usually doesn’t need the rope but one of the chickens got out at feeding time and he hasn’t completely learned his manners yet…
fingers crossed for the lil thing! I thought the chicken feed brought it in, but WWW pointed out it was probably the newer wood pile.
HA!, No she didn't, but she did ask to keep it as a pet... I think that is one the Yooperlites you gifted behind it Dave She's naming the chickens though, Black Beard, Little Red Hen (I named), Oreo, Miss Chocolate, Maya.
6 months old at time of picture. she has destroyed the dinosaur since that picture was taken. chipmunks make good plinking practice, 20 yards out, excellent way to hone those aiming skills.
Someone asked for pictures of our German shepherds. I think it was yooperdave Romeo on the left (130 lbs), Juliet on the right (75 lbs). Juliet was Romeo's full sister but two years older. Our 29 ft sailboat seemed very small with the two of them on board. Juliet was the boss, Romeo got out of her way. Romeo died at 7 years with a tumor in his chest. Juliet went 12 years and suffered from nerve damage in her hips.
