Thanks folks, we have been looking for quite awhile now. It will be interesting what names the kids come up with. The 4yo has a stuffed animal dog named French toast!
Warner , That guy is adorable!! Two black lab males here, Great dogs. Pains in the azz = yup , without a doubt ; but we would be lost without them. Wife and I are now just renters in their house.
I was a nursing home last 3 years for an Alaskan Husky; a breeder in Mass, cuts vocal cords. It seemed cruel. I Miss Balto, he had been abused. Did not want to be inside, refused to get in car, did not like men.. loved kids. He would follow school bus and play with kids. The town dog catcher would call me, couldn’t catch him. I would drive over call him and he would follow me home at 7 mph with 4 ways on.. it was hilarious and our town folks knew and wait for him as he slowed traffic
Can't like your post , sorry. Anyone that would cut vocal cords like that needs to be hung up by their private parts. Reading of such a thing makes me ill. I am so done coming to this thread after reading this. I have had enough. I'm out.
Labs rule! At least in this house. Frank passed a year ago. Life just isn’t the same without a four legged friend.
I agree also.. He was a great dog. .. I’m not sure he was mine. He chose to live in the horse barn from about age 11 to 14. Extremely independent just tried to give him his best life that was left on his terms.. I apologize for ruining thread for you buzz-saw was not my intention..
I feel your pain. Lost our Molly (pic in Avatar) last summer. I still mourn her passing. Her ashes are in my desk area. I did go to the p9und and brought home a rescue. He has turned out to be a fantastic companion. Very dedicated. He was found starving in the woods. all skin and bones. We have addressed that successfully.
Glad for you. My daughter got a Goldendoodle a month ago. two grand. Cost for dogs have skyrocketed tremendously. My first lab was a dark chocolate lab. The English type. Love him. The Sorento flea collar was toxic for him. Another lab we had at the same time wasn't bothered at all. Now I only use Frontline. Never had a problem with it. Not always the most effective, but it does the trick and so far no dog poisoning. I hope you post pictures of the pup growing up.
