Good news he’s home and doing well! Vet is not sure if the prescription med or the few days of antibiotics made the change. he’s got a good appetite and is holding down food and his gait seems to be stabilizing as he gets nutrients. He’s still happy to have his my pillow bed by the fire.
Yay! I have a cat, Rita, who a couple of years ago thought she was a gonner (age unknown as she is a rescue and best guess was around 10). She quit eating, hid in nearly inaccessible places, and was laying in her own urine (had to give her a bath every night when I got home). Blood tests came out inconclusive, or at least nothing jumped out as bad. Vet gave her a hefty antibiotic shot, and a steroid shot. She is still with me. Vet said he didn't know if it was because of, or in spite of treatment.
Weird thing is I’ve yet to hear him bark. He’s usually very vocal in the afternoon when he wants his treats. He spent a good bit of the day outside sunning in the front yard and went for a good 2hr roam this morning in the freezing temps.
My nephew wanted a beagle puppy for his 51st birthday His wife bought him one The woman selling her had a boy pup Someone never picked up She gave her the other pup He's building a pen for them And wants to train them to rabbit hunt.
Cuties that look like Double Trouble. At least they will have each other to exhaust some of their energy on
Buddy moved right into Emma and they were like this right till she had to leave. Now he is trying the same with Titan.
Yikes yesterday. I decided to rumble to the bus stop in the Blaze, I hadn't drove it in awhile. A mile away from home on the way to the new bus stop Lacey got a treble hook in her eyelid WWW had gone to the ice fishing derby here Jan 2 & 3. The Blaze takes both feet and both hands to drive, though I can hold the steering wheel with my knee if not using the clutch pedal. After unsuccessfully trying to back the one hook off out of her eyelid for several minutes (no way, the barb was all the way through) I called WWW hoping he could pick kiddo up and the last stop near town and he did. Managed to drive back while keeping her still and holding the treble hook up so the other two hooks wouldn't jab her eyeball and shifting with my left hand, to our neighbors house and he brought me wire cutters, I had moved over to the to the passenger seat where she was, neighbor leaned in to give me the cutting pliers and the trembling pup got scared, out from my grip, and another hook went through her bottom eyelid The bottom eyelid hook was through a very thin layer of skin and ripped through by the time I got her back to me, then cut the other hook off. Took several minutes to pull it though, there where two holes it went in and out of . But, I finally got it out!! What a good little girl and trooper she was!! You know it hurt and she was scared (she was trembling the whole time), yet she stayed still for me for the most part (I only had to scruff her a few times). Good Girl Lacey!! Swelling going down today. I asked for eye antibiotic ointment but he and kiddo were already on our road. Think she'll be just fine, just lucky it did not hook her eyeball.
SIL is in the hospital again and weve been pup sitting the last week and when old Buddy got in from his doings this morning he couldnt get warm. He doesnt like the woodstove? So i had to make him a quick tent.Titan was like WTH?
Yes, poor poochies!!! I was so afraid it was in her her eyeball and then when she got off the seat and was pawing at the hook it would then too. Grateful! Hola Chiquitita! You look so fresh and clean! How does she bathe?
