Down one of the stray/wild cats! 3/4 that showed up after neighbors moved and left them (the humane society caught all the others in the colony) are still coming around begging for food. One in particular has been catching us in the driveway, walks under our feet when hungry, well this morning WWW picked it up trying to leave for work so he would not trip, the cat let him, and, took him to the welfare society! This is only one nice enough to be adoptable and he (she?) is now in the foster system!!!
May I indulge? I have to express my satisfaction that the cat is sleeping in warmth tonight It might still be at the vets, or maybe already in it's new foster home in a real house instead of a kennel tonight. Either way, it's not out in the wind and cold (8* here currently) here, and has food and water anytime it desires some WWW said on the way to town it initially ended up in his lap, then positioned itself in his truck directly in front of a dash heater vent. He turned the heater to vent only on full blast and closed off the others so the cat got all the warm air since he could tell the cat was diggin' it
Just catching up on this thread. It tends to get away from me in just a few days. Stinny very sorry to hear about you son's dog passing. we all experience that and know how painful it is. May he rest in peace. I want to share this story about a cat and some coyotes. CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Cat fights off 3 coyotes
Thanks Larry... our son & his wife are doing fine... they're 2nd husky Kailaya is taking good care of em... That cat sure beat the odds... and, against 3 yotes! Wow.
How old is Giz? I think she was with you back in 2013 when I first met you on FHC. She seems so active.
My sons dog looks exactly like Giz. He sent me a video of him rolling around in the snow a while back. He is not so energetic anymore but he is 17 1/2 years old.
She was 10 last October. She really comes alive in the winter. Loves the snow, but can't handle cold for too long walking on icy ground. I've noticed her shreeeeekin' is about 20% louder in the winter too... ...
There are boots made for dogs to wear in the winter. Not just cute stuff but practical ones. I've seen pictures of sled teams wearing them. They are really comical while they get use to them, but eventually settle in to accepting them. My Molly just loves to wear her coat. I started her with one when hunting season came around. She loved it right from the first time.
