That's very funny! I never heard of a cat liking the AC.
My cat likes to be hot. She had a trip to the vet this AM, was diagnosed with a fever and swollen lymph node. Got an antibiotic shot and I think she is starting to improve. She's camped out on the mat near the front door, she wants to go out but we're not letting her. IMG_20190720_59593.jpg

My Sister's new pup, he fit right in, although it was a bit tense at first, most dogs dont react well to meeting other dogs in a pack.

An infection of some sort. The vet said they clear up in 48 hours or so. It was a vet emergency room, since it's the weekend. Her belly is fine, and there's no injury, so no explanation where it came from.

Cats are famous for having symptoms that don't really point toward anything, even after blood tests. Hope the antibiotics do the job and she recovers quickly!

Thanks. These things always seem to happen on a weekend. If she's not better Monday (and even if she is) we'll call her regular vet.

Or, if it happens during a weekday, it is while you absolutely can't get off work so you have to go to the emergency clinic at night :headbang:

This little segment/info has taken 6 months to get a conclusion but I'm passing it to all you Dog lovers, "as we are", especially if your dog plays with tennis balls and has "Tennis ball teeth" o_O We noticed over the years our Corgis upper and lower K9 teeth starting to wear. with in two years my youngest one really had a lot of wear on his teeth. When I brought this up to the Vet 6 months ago his first words were, "do they play with tennis balls"? I said of course, they're nuts with them. He said sadly, "stop"!!! Throw all your tennis balls away. find them a new toy! o_O:eek: He explained that the fuzz on the tennis balls collect dirt, sand, yard grime and act like sand paper to their teeth. He's even seen dogs completely loose their front teeth. He noticed our baby border Collie on her last visit was "just starting" to get wear. So, I thought and thought about this and came up with a solution that makes the dogs happy and "Won't" wear down their teeth. Semi-soft street hockey balls!!! They are the exact same size as a tennis ball, "no fuzz" they can't flatten them unless you have a "Pit bull" or Lion, it takes nearly an act of God. My dogs just had to have a ball and this is the solution. To you folks who are having or experienced this issue, especially those with Labs, Chesapeake's, Spaniels, Borders or basically any dog that loves tennis balls go get ya some street hockey balls! I believe any sporting goods store has them and it may save you some $$$. from the Vet. Here's a pic of some... (edit) or last visit yesterday was a go! No more wear on the teeth!!!:)

Any pet lovers here know where I can buy an affordable dog crate? (for Peaches). The last two I bought (one for the bunnies), then another to replace that and it was subsequently loaned to the Animal Welfare League taking on a cat hoarding case :( poor cats was not able to be returned. Both large crates I payed around $30 for on sale, all I've seen the last week or so is $60 on up.

I wish I could remember where I bought the Eco-65 pellet stove, it seemed to be a prominent hardware/farm chain on the east coast. I've never seen that store in person but it reminded me of Tractor Supply I've seen out here, I have to wonder if they have reasonably priced dog crates?

    ETA
Drolet was from Northern Tool, it appears they do not carry dog crates.

I see the pet playpens are much less, it would be less to buy one of those and lose a bottom shelf or two of the chrome rack shelving system I put up in the bedroom. :sherlock:

Thanks friends :) No luck on any within a couple hours from me unclefess though I am quite close to the border "as the eagle flies", I really appreciate the suggestion, I had not thought of it. I found one at Petco for $46. Should be here next week. Isn't that hilarious that the entire state is under one at craigslist vs metropolitan areas

I'm doing what I can for doggie training/socializing boot camp for Peaches. I thought I was doing well by taking her with me to the bus stop, it was not enough:picard:, too many things other than what she knows from here at the house and walks out here scare her. Training includes taking her out when I can and crate training. Bummer as I don't leave the house much, but, I am taking kiddo to some sports lessons a couple days a week for the next couple weeks so I'm making the most of what I can with that. I hope I can get her far enough along so WWW can eventually take her with him sometimes.

Today was the first time taking her to town for socializing, I can already see progress . Cross your fingers for us please, we'll need it.

Luna had a bit of excitement this morning. Three hens and about a dozen poults went past the window.
