We are still casually looking for a dog. My daughter heard a pack of coyotes at the farm just up the road a few nights ago. She is convinced about not having a smaller dog now.

Good looking cat. Smaller dogs are definitely more vulnerable.

Took all the area rugs to the car wash today (only laminate/linoleum in this house). Well worth it!! I did the best I could between Blondie being severely ill for awhile and then with potty training the puppy, so they looked fine and did not smell, but it was very cathartic to watch the dirty water rolling off them as WWW ran the car wash wand over them. Best $20 spent in a long time.

I've been away from this thread for a while. Can't say why as it is one on my favorites. I want to share an update with picture of my five cats. They are all getting haircuts Takes several setting to both hold and shave a cat by yourself. They reach their limits. If you want another chance at it, you have to let them go when they tell you enough is enough.

You have a very nice looking bunch there savemoney . I'll bet trying to keep up with keeping all their fur brushed and tangle/mat free is very time consuming.

one is facing us, the one on the far left is just the tail of the mother cat. She is the smallest of all of them. .
To be honest, there is no keeping up with the cat hair, that is way I resort to shaving their hair off. Hair tangles become matted hair become pelted. Pelted hair is like a tight body tight rug. Should it become pelted there is nothing that can be done except shaving. Shaving that is a nightmare. Best to shave it all off before it gets that way. I only have one area carpet, a 5x7. I'll vac it and by the next day it looks like we had a pillow fight on it. I don't get crazy about it. More to life than to be worried about some messes.
