You cared for them and that is what is important. some things in life can't be changed and you tried to make a difference. Kudos.

With no fangs he wasn't able to defend himself. And apparently he needed to. So he had an easy death, rather than a painful one. Still, sorry he didn't make it.
You tried, it wasn't the outcome you hoped for, but still a humane one.

Thank you friends:handshake:. I appreciate all of you bringing back to reality, he was behind the ball the minute his owner dumped him out here and yes bogieb I have to wonder how we did cross paths----way out here---. Snow here tonight and tomorrow, Vet Clinic that participates in TNR said they'd keep him in the freezer for us til Friday, WWW will pick him and the trap up then, and we'll bury him this weekend. Kiddo took the news better than I expected:), we'll have a little ceremony for him:yes:.

    Midwinter I agree, thank you.

Not the outcome you had hope for him and that is tough to take. I would think his health was so compromised that this is probably the best for him. Especially if he couldn't defend himself very well. You did all what you could for him.

I don't know if you are still bothered about the feral tom cat that you finally trapped and was going to help out, but you can think of this.

He was given a safe, stress free and relaxing place to end his life. By being in the kennel, he wasn't bothered or stressed by the threats in his life that had got him in the condition he was in.

Microchip door is here for the cat shelter for her (previously them). Thought I'd ask for your thoughts.

This is the wall I'd like to put it on to the left outside the slider windows (blue window trim), I can see them from my desk and through that window.

Below the cats are on a double stack aquarium stand (previously our used 80's butcher block couch LOL), and also the laundry room window (used to be a doorway.) Stand si 14"W x 50"L x ~30"H I'll relocate my potting supplies.

I still have some of these Toyota crates appx 1.5' x 4'[IMG]
I could wall around the aq stand and use it as the frame, but the crates are a bit wider and also have a floor already. One crate top, one crate bottom, 2x4 legs between, plywoodish all four sides with the microchip door and locking plexiglass hatch?

Lovely colour cat on the right there. It would be a refuge and shelter for them.

We're getting going on the cat house, materials changing, using a crate Stinny built to ship an awesome winch that is now on the M35, and exterior will be scrap from WWW's shop. Little fat old Momma cat will have her own refuge.

Blackie dog is now my little old man, cannot hear, eyesight diminishing, and now night time protection. Best I can guess he was 6-12 months when he was dumped and found us, so about 14 years old now.

I thought it was a UTI and antibiotics would help him like a few times in the past, nope, just aging. He has not protested one bit, and it's' a life saver for our bed, these wraps really work well, some nights nothing, some a drop or two, and once in a while 1/2 his bladder.

My Prince went thru incontinence (and the nearly deaf and blind). The vet put him on Dexitrim (yes, the diet drug) and it worked well for a while. A couple of weeks before I let him go, the Dexi wasn't working so I took him off it and used Pee Pads. Since he wasn't moving much by then, they worked fine. Never thought of that sort of protection though.

That’s not Lucy. She desperately wanted to “assist”. Newborns blunder through fences the first day or two, and they like to seek out places to hide. That works better in large pastures, but we do intensive grazing and have a small herd, so each paddock is small. It causes a lot of anxiety among the mothers, and extra attention from us.
