    Went out in the snowfall this morning to pick up some of yesterday’s cutting. Didn’t need to but I love the woods during snow.

    Ebbie has become deaf, and old, so she doesn’t chase behind the mule and stay with me like she used to. I was out of sight just beyond the pasture. Since she can’t hear the working, she normally doesn’t come. It was a pleasant surprise to see her. Must have been inspecting things and found me.

    We gathered up a bed load and returned to the shop for some splitting. She is about fifteen now, which is uncommon for a Labrador. She will be the last dog I have likely.

    Maple update:

    She has been doing her leash walks 2x a day when it's not below 10°F and doing pretty good. She is still limping after a walk and sometimes when she gets up, hopefully it's nothing out of the ordinary.
