Sorry to read this Larry. I'm sure all of your other furry buddies are helping you get through it. It's an awful reality of having furry members of the family... when it's their time. RIP little buddy...

Sorry your loss savemoney . Cats can be excellent for hiding any symptoms until it is too late. It is always a hard decision to let them go, but it sounds like it was the for the best. Hugs to you and Cindy!

Thanks for the kind comments. This is the second pet we have lost this year. In July, is was my dear friend Max, the English Lab, and today my dear Himalayan Strager. His name was on invented by my wife because he was a rescue. He was found hanging out in a neighborhood and brought in as a stray. The feeling was that the owner moved away without him. We only had him for 5 years. He was so regal

I'm sorry you lost Strager. He had a good rest of his life with you. I wonder how old he was when you got him.

Thanks, yes my furry buddies are very important to me. This is a very difficult time of year for me.
The animal shelter thought he was a few years old. I think that is rather subjective. He didn't act like a kitten. Sit and watch, and be king of the group. I think he was older than we thought. Vet asked if he had been into any rat poisoning. He was strictly an indoor cat. We don't own rat poison. My son puts it out in the garage (upstairs) and under the porch.

I was thinking about the black and white one you got earlier this year! My oldest son got one that has a lot of that breed. So darn smart. They throw things and tell the dog to sit and stay. He won't go fetch the ball until he is given a release word. He can jump up on bar stool and sit patiently. His ears stick out on a straight plane that reminds me of the hat the flying nun used to wear. He was a rescue brought to Maine. We have hundreds of dogs brought in. All get placed. They get about $400 for each one of them adopted at the pound. Older ones go for less as do ones with issues. All dogs are fixed before adoption. Even ones just 10 weeks old. Seldom ever see a dog loose around here. Mine is trained not to leave the area around the house.
