Ok, time for an update. As most of you know, this summer my 'down the road' neighbors went off the rails and I wound up with their dog. It was fine by me 'cause the dog (an American Bulldog named Juggy) was (is) a sweetheart and I figured what the heck...I've got plenty of space and he and my dog (sweet little Lexie) get along great. Anyway, spent the summer taking them hiking and fishing and firewooding and stuff, but knew that the owner would eventually show up so I didn't hold my breath in terms of keeping him. Well, the day of reckoning came about a week ago. Juggy's owner showed up. I was braced for a bad experience but it was thankfully just the opposite. In fact, it was really great! Dan (the owner of Juggy) got out of his truck and Juggy started barking and going nuts like he usually does with unannounced visitors. Then, he got a little closer and realized who it was and Juggy just freaked out (in a good way). Dan and Juggy went for a walk down the road for an hour or so and when they got back to my house, we had a talk on the porch. It was the first time I'd really conversed with him and it turns out he's a really nice dude. He was very appreciative of the fact that I'd taken care of Juggy for the summer and he even gave me a couple hundred bucks for the effort. He's moving to a house in a town about 20 miles from my location, but it has a big fenced yard for Juggy and is right next to the clark fork river. Pretty dang good resolution to the whole matter if you ask me! Plus, I'll still be able to stop by and let Lexie hang out with Juggy whenever I'm in the area. To sum things up? I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised how this all turned out. An undramatic resolution with a dog and his owner back together...perfect! Lexie seems happy as well now that she doesn't have to share the hearth with Juggy anymore. Thanks to all of you who gave advice regarding this situation. Kudos all the way around!

Happy ending, though we know you will miss him. Nice to know you loved him so much to have his best interest in mind.

I am so relieved that things turned out as well as they did. Not only did you make friend of Juggy but also his owner. Peaceful solutions are always the best.

The boys are really getting big. Our three little ones also own all the couches in the living room.

Was the end of a rough day, they went to the vet to become "N" instead of "M"

Vet says to keep the roughhousing to a minimum and keep them on a leash for a week...its gonna be a long week.

Going on day 8 of spaying our newly arrived female, not fun keeping puppies apart and "calm."

The day I brought Billy Bob home from losing his manhood, he went under the back pool deck and got stuck. Had I known he was frightened of the circular saw I'd have run it instead of cutting into a board:headbang:
He came out licked his stiches and never suffered any issues

Make sure Dan Keeps your number, for Juggy's sake.
Not sure what "went off the rails" means but history tends to repeat itself.

I have never been able to keep any of my animals "calm" for longer than a day after spay or neuter. As soon as the anesthesia wears off the next day its a losing battle. I have never had a litter of pups though either. Good luck!

:tears: My aunt's dog is ill (she is more like a sister). Injured his back roughhousing with the new addition after she lost her other older one a few months ago. Its way worse than one could expect. Saying a prayer for him and her, the dogs ARE her children.

 :lol:That is about right for my house...only two are routinely on the bed, one usually under the covers, you definitely need to claim your space or you will loose it.

Hope he gets better quick ww.;)

Been watching Emma with a hawkeye this past week as she was having problems getting her rear end up after sleeping? I was thinking the worst 'Hip Dysplasia' :picard:

She's been fine for a few days now so am hoping it was just from running around with the blur brothers last week.

Let us know how the little fella makes out eh.
