Thank you for the updated post showing Emma, had she eaten Warfarin, it would have done its deed by now. I really was worrying about her. I lost my three year old female lab last year in a sudden death at home while we were out shopping. It was devastating. Something called bloat. I have her ashes in a wooden box we keep in the family room.

    LOL, deja vu!
I wish I would have taken a picture of my trailer the other day! Same problem, same wheel, same looking trailer. Heck, woods even look the same. Ran something over, don't know what but I am going to end up putting a tube in it this weekend...

Got back to the garage and found a small 'nail' hole in it but no nail? Will put a plug in it today. Not my fault this time rotti
They are a handy little trailer eh Carbine! Easier on the bike and go's anywhere the bike does. Emma has alot of fields she can follow me in save so we are gonna stay away from those far ones for awhile as she doesnt need to bother with the wolves that are supposed to be hanging around there. Havent heard if the farmer has dealt with them yet but will check into it this weekend.;)

We did finish that big elm before the trailer fun and will take the tractor back in to grab the big blocks.

He is a funny little guy stinny. Once i get the bike out of the garage he is dancing all over the place till he jumps up and waits for the ride. He has to have his vest on as he is all over the bike when moving and the Mrs has something to hang onto so he doesnt fall off. He also gets tied up when the saws are running and just sits nicely till they are turned off.:)

Must be a dog thing... goin' with Dad. Giz does that too.

Found a tick on Giz this morning... pulled it off and she had a half pea sized lump left. Put some cream on it when I went out for a couple hours. Came back and that lump is gone. Hoping it was a wood tick. Got a lot of them here and she was all along the woodline yesterday. Dammmm... I hates ticks... :hair:

We had to change brands. Frontline wasn't doing a darn thing for fleas and ticks. Switched to advantix for the dogs and advantage for the cats. That did it. Just gave mine their second dosing of that product. So glad not to have bugs on my pets. I even tried that new med that they eat. That too failed. I think these bugs are getting resistent. Hope the labs are able to keep ahead of the problem. Only reason I am hoping for a hard frost is to kill some of these bugs off.

We put a Preventic collar for ticks on Giz, but she was right at the end of the time. Put a new one on this morning.

The Advantage doesn't have tic protection. The Advantix does, but the ingredient of Pyrethrins is toxic to cats. We have to put it on the dogs and keep them separate from the cats for overnight. I'll need to look up to see if that collar product is safe around cats. My dogs and cats play together. I like the idea of the collar lasting 3 months. There was a period of about 7 years we didn't have fleas. My daughter brings her dogs over to play and I not sure all strict she is following a schedule. I put mine thing on the calendar and it comes up on all my electronics. My phone even talks to me alerting me my of scheduled events.

Ours all get a preventic collar in the spring and wear them all summer.
I couldn't see spending the extra for an additional set of drops on top of the Revolution, which is supposed to take care of Dog ticks but doesn't work on them around here.
First of the month will be Medicine day....ssshhh don't say it too loud, Billy Bob will run and hide

Say the word "medicine" he darts, cowers down runs into the hallway or hides behind the kitchen table.
Shoot he hears the drawer open from the other room and he knows what's up.

The collars last from April - October for us, not much tick activity now though, they are thick in spring

Giz had a bad reaction to the drops. Turns out it was burning her. No wonder she took off like her azz was on fire... :hair: Guess it happens with some small dogs. It had a similar smell to the collar we put on her now, and every time we change the collar, she starts doing circles and can't settle down for an hour or two. I think she remembers the smell/drops weren't fun. I put it on her and get outside quick. She's so distracted by... everything... she calms down quicker.

Hard to know what is best. You don't want to frighten them, or make them sick. The medicine is expensive, but I am committed to doing what is right by them. I got Lyme's desease and know first hand how horrid those damm things are.
Now there is this Lone Star Tick that causes you to get allergic to eating meat. I haven't read if it has the same effect on pets.
