New additions to the household - Rita is unsure about this turn of events, but she chose to walk away (they were in the carrier in the first picture) so I don't think it will take her long to get used to them Spot is in back sitting up and Runt is in front laying down Sorry it is blurry. Runt may get a new name, but Spot's name seems to be appropriate. They are 9 weeks old today and are part of the litter that BDF and his wife rescued from growing up feral. They did a great job of getting them socialized with people!
That's a good one Mid. Emma has the same thing running at all times but doesn't do the '''''Boot Scoot Boogie''''' Will grab a pic tomorrow.
Was going to close the bedroom door, but I guess I'll wait On another note - when you send an email from your phone named "kittens on bed", it goes to the Junk folder automatically
Looks like Brian and his wife did a wonderful job of keeping the kittens from becoming feral. Handling them as tiny kittens is key for that. I am glad that they are all in loving homes now. Wish the mama cat could be caught and fixed.
Looks like another murdurus pitbull about to eat children. On a serious note, don't they call that stuff "zoomies" "has the zoomies" "a case of the zoomies"... now in days?
If it was a cat, it would have the "spooks" (OMG - that is so racist ). Not sure what they call it in dogs. We just called it time to take the dogs out for a game of Frisbee.
Only if you are referring to a person. Kinda funny, but Holly is our all black dog, and she likes to hide/shade under the yew bushes. Had to ask my 1/2 black co-worker if it's racist that we call her our "Bushbaby". He just laughed and said nah.
Back in the early 80's I had a black cat named Spook (also Spooker), because she always had "the spooks". In the 70's I had a black cat name "Blackie" (short for Black Angel). Now days I would get reviled for using such names even though they perfectly matched dominant attributes.
Well, I realize we are living in a time of heightened "sensitivity", but most any of the people of "color" that I know wouldn't bat an eyebrow. Now of course, depending on the neighborhood, it may be unwise to be on your front porch calling out for Blackie, or Spook to "come here".
cherish the moments. Loon, do you find that the big dogs are smarter than the little ones? My big guy, Max, knew so much. I swear he got smarter and smarter. Very stubborn, but also very smart. I had two toy poodles. they were very loving, but hard to teach anything and had limited word understanding.
Pretty much the same thing here save and mom says Dew is 13 with bad eyes and partially deaf so he is in his own little world most of the time. Emma lets the 3 little ones run the house but when she has had enough of them they know not to bother her.
