Two weeks post op the staples are out and the Doc says everything looks good. Another 6-8 weeks on the DL and we will have some follow up xrays to confirm the bone healing and then be able to gradually resume normal activities. He is still a bit sore when getting up but other than that you would not know. Pretty amazing.
he looks uncomfortable to me. His tail down and his gate is a bit stiff, no bounce in his step, but he is self driven to work through it. I remember my Max when he had his done. Nothing would hold him back except my keeping him slowed down.
The day came today. We had to take Melody in to the vet to be put down. Her ability to eat solid foods had steadily declined and she was losing weight. She would eat a little bit out of our hand, but not much. The past couple of days she only took in some broth from chicken noodle soup and some milk. She was still behaving as she always did, even caught a mouse this past Thursday and brought it in the house while it was still alive. Little bit of excitment for us. With her not eating and lapping up liquids becoming harder to do, we brought her in at 7 this morning. Here are the last 2 pics of her, one taken Saturday behind the house and the other taken Sunday when she was on or deck, enjoying some time in the sun.
A 30 second clip of a cat watching a horror movie is the funniest thing I've seen this year. Turn the sound up to hear the movie. And watch her pupils. Lol
Your pictures aren't showing up for me, but I get what you are trying to reveal. Never is easy. Not ever. I have been there more times than I can to recall, but I wouldn't give away any of my fond memories I made with my fur friends. Cherish your memories. And if the right time comes along, open up your home for another. There are so many in needs of care.
Thanks. I hit the post button instead of the upload file button. Had to go back and edit in the pics.
