    Sometimes you have to wonder if this is all fate. Had you run out and got a puppy, maybe you wouldn't have been available to take Dixie. I don't know, but there are time I think some things work out the way they do because it is meant to be. I have taken in many rehomed dogs. One took a year to calm down. Came from an abusive background. These last dogs and cats I have I bought because they are just what I wanted them to be. Lots of grandkids, so I wanted labs. My cats have the Ragdoll personality so they don't scratch or bite. I have my hands full now. But if one landed on my doorstep, I would either make a home for it here or find a home for it.
    I am so glad for you that you have opened your home and heart to Dixie. Have a Merry Christmas

    savemoney, I think things are truly meant to be. When we got Buddy we found his birthdate was Our wedding anniversary. Then, while my wife was gone on a weekend trip with my daughter, who. Bought a charm for her braslet in memory of Oggie who we had just lost, she found the name of the charm was Buddy! Chief
