Well, I'm sure you all remember when my Oggie passed. Mimi didn't want another one because she didn't want go through losing one again. In less than a week she relented, suspecting I was going to die from a broken heart. Enter Buddy. He saved my life! So I understand rottiman, and good for you, and the lucky pup. There are no perfect ones but there is a price to pay for the unique love of a dog. Have one, love it, and understand it doesn't understand it's faults as you see them. Just love your dog. You are it's entire world and would probably fight to the death for you.
The dog 10 commandments posted earlier by nobody, really does say it all. Chief

You're certainly welcome. In your post before this you said no dog is perfect. I disagree. My dog, also named Buddy, IS perfect. Well except for that time he tore up the living room floor and I came in and thoughtn the ceiling had fell, and then there was that time he jumped up on the Chief of Police that was wearing his nicely pressed uniform and then...
Let me rethink this and get back to you.

Sounds so familiar. Buddy chewed up the cushions on our new couch the first month. He has grown up a little and better, but still likes to come to the front door when the UPS man comes with Mimi's under wear   He is lucky she hasn't sent him back to the Rescue Agency! :hair: Chief

That's great rottiman !!! Congrats. You went longer than I could after we lost our husky Tekayo, and I sure can relate to "I couldn't take it any longer"... and along came our eeeevil snow badger, Gizmo... ;)... I bet Dixie loves the new digs. Enjoy.

I just happened to notice your avatar Rotti.....said "I just wonder" so I knew the thread to check. Good to hear you left that stubborn will soften in order to get another pal.....life just ain't right without a dog around. Our Aussie will be 3 in January and it took me 7 months after my pal Rudy left us before Piper stole our hearts.

A day and a half into this and you would think she's lived here for the last 5 years........... . Settled right in and no sign what so ever of separation anxiety. It don't take long for them to establish the affection factor for sure. I believe we have "WINNER,WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER" here..............................:thumbs::thumbs:

Well, she is doing GREAT. Acts like she's lived here for the last 5 years. Settled right in and shows no sign of separation anxiety. She is a great little dog and has already "cemented" her place here at the Ponderosa. Very grateful we were lucky enough to get er'.
