    Hey Yoops!

Lila (we combined little lady for her name) the cat is doing great! She brought back her kills every day all summer, many days too many:hair:..... She still brings them back to us but is spending less and less time outside as the weather is getting cooler and cold at night. She has obviously had human contact at some point but she is figuring out how to live inside a house. Learning lessons such as taking sucker punches at the dogs from atop the kitchen stool as they walk by innocently is not ok. :rolleyes::zip::picard:. She tolerates WWW and myself picking her up for a minute or so, but totally relaxes and purrs when our lil one picks her up and hauls her all over the house be it upright, sideways, or upside down  while singing and dancing the whole time:eek: . She also sleeps on lil ones bed every night. I knew she was little and skinny when she showed up, but WOW, I am guessing she was like 5 months old, knocked up and raising a litter of kittens. She has grown and gained weight. Still trim but she has enough cat food here that she could be a fat cat if she wanted.
Lila left a dead vole on the kitchen counter for my wonderful housekeeper Maria. Maria almost fainted when she realized what it was  :rofl:

I am making arrangements to do a trap/neuter/release on two cats I have identified here. This whole time I thought they were a neighbors cat, I was wrong. Poor lil things living out here in the wild and wicked weather. Litter after litter....

    Nice update!
If there was only one person in the house for the cat to be the most tolerant with, it would be the little one, no? Glad the cat realizes that and lets her haul her around the way she does.

Have you been burning yet? Perhaps a fire here and there?

Glad Lila is doing well at your place. I've known some of the biggest, nastiest toms (un-neutered and king of the block, including over dogs), act that way with a family's 5 year old. The little boy, although not mean, was not the most gentle person when it came to hauling the poor cat around. The cat not only tolerated, but came back for more. But with adults, a quick pick up and release was more to his liking. He was a good lap kitty for adults though (he visited our apartment on a regular basis - which was cool).

Sat down on the top step of the porch, the sun felt good so I laid back for "just a second", next thing I knew it was 20 minutes later and there was a Hound dog standing on my chest.

Us too. The queen bed is too small when both of our land are on the bed. Lucky for us, William gets warm really fast and usually doesn't sleep on the bed with us that long.

Not sure what's going on here. It's not broken, he puts weight on it just fine, not tender or warm to the touch so not an infection. Guessing he just got stung a few times Vet gave him a shot and a script of prednisone. Hoping it goes down today, this is prime time hiking and the weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend.
