You most likely know this, but just in case, you can get that pill enteric coated, also can be taken with food.

Update on "dumped cat". Positive ID, fortunately it is really a cat, not a grey and white rodent:rofl: . WWW spotted a cat with something in her mouth this morning moving across the back of the property. Yep, it was the momma with a kitten in her mouth. They are in a dugout under the 1952 garage, I ventured out there and spotted 2 kittens peeking out from underneath the quad snow plow. More scrambled eggs, dog kibble, and a can of sardines and 2 bowls of water, WWW brought home cat food tonight. I was kinda disturbed to see a dead bunny in the dugout opening that the kittens were walking over. My second trip out there I sat down, noticed a rodent's foot, duh, she's been hunting for them!!

Humane society (we don't have one, only police and sheriff) said the quarantine/isolation room is full but they could take them in a week or so. I'd like to keep either the momma or one of the kittens, we shall see:sherlock:

I will try to remember to bring my phone and snap a pic when we go out later to bring the cat food.

if you want to lure them out chunks of hot dog or bologna work great.
I rescued three litters from outside over the years. Get some pics :)
My daughter rescued these guys from outside, they have a new home at my other daughter's house in San Diego, she kept the mama, a third one has new home also

Awesome story HD. They were in my lap today. After WWW got home with cat food and I put a giant bowl out, they were not so eager to get in my lap. I'm afraid they will end up at the shelter next week when there is room to take them. They are quite healthy compared to the litters that came into the humane society in Colorado that I worked at a long time ago. I would pay to ship them to your daughter if she would help and I could afford it, but that won't happen, and I need a plan for the new ones in the future too. Humans can be so cruel to loving pets :hair:

So Mama Kitty is now comfortable with food source (even if she is supplementing) and that your family is not a threat, and has decided to bring the kittens closer.

That is great! Get them socialized with people so they have a good chance at being adopted.

Cat lady just left with the mother and 3 kittens, we could not catch the two shy ones. The mother is getting spayed and vaccinated and WWW will pick her up this evening, not sure she will be permanent here but the rescue is too full to accept adult cats. Sad but true. Meanwhile 3 of the 5 kittens are headed to the vet then a foster care home

Any advice? The two shy kittens will not come out from under the 1952 garage for us but mew and cry when we (or I) when I leave. WWW bought cat food and I used some of his sardines bait for the crawdad traps (odd and cool we happen to have sardines on hand here), I put the food up tonight hoping they will be hungry and lonely enough to come out in the morning? What would you do besides a trap? (trap can happen in the next few days but I'd rather catch them sooner if you know what I mean).

Have you tried any yarn or something to get their attention off of you and toward their prey instincts? (May be too young for this??) Good luck!

I have not tried yarn yet but I will tomorrow. I put a chair cushion out there with small rubber grippy beads on the finish, they have been lounging on in the sun, I used my fingers to make to attract their attention (prey instinct?) and luring with WWW's sardine cans for his crawdad traps.
