Another comment about Flea and Tick control. there are a couple of pill forms and chewables that are on the market and say they offer the same protection. One is offered by Frontline. We tried that one for a couple months. Still had ticks. The way they are different is that with oral administration, the pest has to first bite you animal, then die from the ingested blood they suck out. With the topical ones, they die from contact with the animal. I have NO faith in any non prescription collars. Infact, if you try one, look it up on the net for comments. The majority have poor results, or a very toxic with different side effects. A toy poodle we had almost died from one of those. I thought for sure I had poisoned it while trying to says some money on some cheap OTC product. Never again.

After reading about ticks and fleas for a couple years here I am very grateful we do not have them here. Blondie picked up a couple tiny fleas on one of our first visits here, I assume either from the skunk or rabbits living under a shed which is now gone when she stuck her head in there. The next year I ordered mail order plants from an Ohio nursery, turns out the skin tag on Blondie's mamms was actually a tick! Other than that, neither nor in decades

This is a picture of my daughters dogs. The one in front and the one on the left are brothers. The top middle is an adoption. The little one is a Jack Russell

those two are Sherlock and Watson, the other two I keep forgetting. Nothing trendy to help me remember. They also had an American Pit Bull that got huge, and had food aggression. He was always getting into fights with the other dogs. He has been adopted to a person who when to school with my boys. They have a young child, but no other pets. The dog is going well there.

So... little Sandy has a new routine now... when it's time to head to bed I'll just go back out in the liv rm and say OK Sandy, let's go to bed... she jumps off the couch and walks right straight into the bedroom and into her crate. Can't believe it's the same dog we brought home. Giz won't even do that... ;)

Its great having a routine. Maple tells us when she wants to go to bed officially. Shell go to the hall, turn, yelp a few times, then down the hall, plop....on the bed. I guess shes saying goodnight. Glad Sandy is doing so well. She is clearly part of the pack, and knows her place!

With that face it's pretty hard to tell her to get off the bed.

I don't tell my pets to get off the bed, unless they are wet or dirty and stink. Then, I just close the bedroom door so I don't have to get after them.

There's one way to get their attention.

    Birthday boy first.... IMG_20160330_184556706.jpg

    Then the little guy. IMG_20160330_184612100.jpg

    They approved mom's baking.

    RIP Dozer.
Sorry for the few days delay, but I'm sure it will be a few months before you're healed. 14+ years is tough to let go that quickly.

    We're here for you Dave.

I've used several brands of spot on type flea and tick medicines. IMHO, they all work about the same. At least the water proof ones.
