She had a pretty good afternoon yesterday and, believe it or not (we can't), she made it from 9 to 4 this morning, in her crate without a problem. Still too soon to think it's over, but maybe. She's had the chick & rice this morning with water added (she's still not drinking) and is now asleep. Fingers crossed.

    Poor little dog anyway.
Hope she stops shrieking both both ends!

 ... me too, although I'm sure when the loud shrieking starts up again, it'll mean she's back to work... ;)

Don't be surprised if she doesn't poo for 48hrs after the chicken and rice. Any longer than that though, she would need a trip to the vet for a little "help" in the poo department.

I hope your new dog doesn't catch whatever it is with Giz. When my dog got it, all three got it. It was a living hell for a while. Being winter time makes it much worse to deal with. Baby shampoo is what I used to clean the fur etc. with. Lots of towels and lots of newspapers.

Good news about Griz Stinny Shadow has made almost 24 hours without throwing up. I got up a couple times during the night to syringe food and water into her. this morning she really was interested in what the other two were getting for breakfast so we put a dish down for her. the food disappeared pretty quickly. I managed to get her Zantac and antibiotics into her as well. I really hope the morning goes well for her. Every time I go into the living room, she looks at me very suspiciously.

Best news yet today! I hate it when our little friends are ill. Sometimes it is hard to get to the issues. One of the reasons I don't take my dogs to public areas. There is some sort of dog flu going around. I don't want it here. I did take my cats in for haircuts. So far no symptoms of any illness. My sympathy to you who are battling with this diarrhea issue.

I walked down in the woods a little this morning (really nice) with Giz, and she seemed to be running on all cylinders blasting though the snow. She started shrieking a little too... ;)... So far today, so good. No poo inside or outside yet. We didn't give her Imodium this morning. Don't want to make things worse going the other way. It was really good to see her rock n roll again after 4-5 days.
