I've noticed differences with different lighting and different background colors with both humans and canines.

I came across some info on this the other day, can't find it now, yes they can change color, IIRC with maturity and it is somewhat breed specific.

I was researching about the color of reflection of dogs eyes at night when you shine a light. Jackson reflects a very deep cobalt blue color, my others all reflect green. Green is the most common, it can also be red and shades of all those, and can be different in one eye compared to the other.

We're having an induced vomiting party here at the Hund Haus this morning!

Oakley came up very lame after yesterday's hike, severe tenderness in his foot. A quick trip to the vet revealed nothing broken, but a course of Rimadyl for good measure. Cats knocked the full medicine bottle off the counter in the night. I had to carry Oakley down the stairs this morning. Oliver! and Willow beat me down the stairs found the bottle, opened it and ate it all.:picard:

Ill test that out tonight. Many times we go into the woods out back and she can see very well, but I tend to keep the headlamp on low. Ive noticed a glow in her eyes but cant recall the color.

Good luck. Rimadyl is toxic in just small overdoses and can be fatal! I hope it comes back up........

How are you inducing vomiting? Hydrogen peroxide?

Yep, hydrogen peroxide soaked Thanksgiving dinner roll. From the color of the vomit it looks like Oliver! got all of it. I caught it within a few minutes, so I think he will be fine. Vet said to just watch him for GI upset for the rest of the day. He ate his breakfast about an hour later, seems OK now, napping.

He sure did! Guarded us from all sorts of nefarious animals like bunnies and squirrels!

He is a great hearted dog. Came from an abused home, dropped off to be put down, but the vet kept hanging on to him because he was such a good natured dog.

Before we married, my bride as a single woman brought him home for protection. He had a lot a behavior problems and still is skittish in some circumstances.

But he has done great with the right attention and love and is gentle and super obedient....and very protective of his mom when people come to the door.

    That sounds great!

Typical sleeping spot, the middle of the couch! Leaving room to roll over for belly rubs.....

Eating rocks is Maples new thing. On our walkway we have up to 1" stones. She was tossing one around in her mouth, I told her to drop, she didn't, I tried to open her mouth, it was locked shut. I brought her in the house to have her drop it for a treat instead, but she swallowed it. What do any of you suggest? Should I induce vomiting?

Good luck WS. I hope you can figure out a way to get her to leave stones alone.
