In my experience (worked at a humane society with every breed and mix possible), the smaller dogs are more reactive. I am sorry for all of you, especially oakly. Massive shower pik rinse or vet? If not a vet, I wonder if a soda paste might help the skin that was affected (of course not in eyes).

That sucks Dave. Hope he is all better. I've been sprayed a couple times and it is not fun, like almost break a bone instead not fun. At least it's not a permanent thing. Sounds like a bit of an overreaction on that lady's part.

And great looking pup Horkn. Is he gonna be a hunter?

DaveGunter sounds like an over reaction on the ladys part to me as well. There was no reason to spray if there was no agressiveness.

Horkn the pup is looking good!

Unfortunately many dog owners don't realize that standing there yelling at the dogs just ups the anxiety for both dogs.

I'm with Woodwidow on this one. Walking with even one dog, the owner has to be vigilant and avoid confrontations. Even though you didn't view this as a confrontation, it is obvious the other person did. A pack of dogs can be very intimidating with little or no time for reaction. Plus, you were removed from the scene.
Time to find a more isolated spot to let them run, perhaps.

    Hunter of table scraps. ;).

I need to get into duck hunting. I used to goose hunt, but they don't taste as good as ducks. If I were to duck hunt though, I'd want to take my American lab Badger instead of an English lab like William. WP_20151103_14_41_07_Pro.jpg

DaveGunter I'd trust your dogs before I'd trust most people. Hope the pooch is ok. Start looking for a piece of private ground without the dog park type atmosphere. Even if you have to pay or work it off, it sounds worth it to me after your last 2 encounters out there.

I saw a court show where the dog and the owner were both sprayed during their walk. Very similar situation. the judge found her guilty and find her for the vet cost and other damages.

:( Maple is currently getting xrays. The puppy in her caused her to chew and consume some window blinds late yesterday afternoon. She vomited all night and isn't acting like herself, made an emergency vet visit first thing. If the xrays don't show enough (plastic blinds) the dr will order an ultra sound. I hope she is ok.......
