Campinspecter built a roof over a lawn area for the girls to do their business. Rascal goes down to the bottom of the lawn no matter what. 1 1/2 ft. of snow slows him down though. It is funny to watch Cricket daintily pick her way through short wet grass to do her business BUT if a bear was at the bottom of the lawn, she would charge immediately down through dandelions and long grass to bark at it.

    Great pics of your win!

Molly's petsafe collar isn't working right. False readings. So I took it off. All was well until she got brave and has tested her limits. Now will have to replace it. $130. This will be the 6th collar I've had to replace. They seem to kill the collar after a couple years at best. I use the wireless version which cost the most, but is easier to maintain. Hunting season starts this Saturday in this area and I don't want her out of the yard. She won't stop barking when there are strangers around. We are on a dead end road. The land around us is posted but that doesn't stop the hunters from crossing over to the power line.

    This is underground fencing?

I wonder if sport dog has anything available? There E collars are excellent.

We took to the fields again this morning. We had a heavy frost and even a few puddles iced over. Maple really loved the cold and was soaked blowing through the fields. Only had a chance to snap a couple pics. Enjoy!

There are another couple dozen in his tongue, some of those in his ear are sticking out the other side.
He was not going to let me take them out, been to the vet already, better that way, less pain for the dog, more pain for my wallet but whatever.

Ouch... hope he feels better soon. Had one of our huskies do that first thing in the morning. Bit the porky so bad she had quills coming up thru the top of her snout. Those were the few we could pull out. We did the same thing you did and got her to a vet and let her sleep while he pulled 99% out. Good idea...

Not fun! My buddies German shorthair got those nastys too many times. Good on you having the vet handle it. Not easy to do on a stressed dog...... I hope he heals up, and learns a lesson (probably wont:rolleyes:)

Dawn flushed a rooster, she shot, just missed, I shot, clipped the right wing, was too far for a follow up shot, and it glided into a pine grove with very thick cover. Searched a good half hour with no luck. Maple followed it from the moment it flushed to it dissapearing in the pines. Our legs are mush to go back out today. Next week!

Got out for a little while today. My son was cutting down the dead stuff in the gardens.
