Giz/Emma and everyones pets on the board

Welp, we're headed off to cabelas to pickup some training supplies for Maple. I'm planning on picking up more dummies, a blaze Orange vest for her, a .22 with blanks as well as restocking my supplie. We should get a bit of training in this afternoon. I'll report back later with pics.

 

Well, after driving to cabelas, they were sold out of 2 things. (I needed to get a plug for Dawns 12ga) and no .22 pistols or blanks for the training. If the game lands weren't so stringent on rules, id be able to bring the shotgun to train. I guess im ordering online. Back to a couple of 2x4's which work well, when slammed together. Cap guns work well too for a puppy.

 

We had playing in the pool day here, It was 84* and the boys were ready for the water! We had there pool upside down for cleaning and drying but the old lab sat and barked at us and it, till till we righted it and filled it , all was fine from then on.

 

Thanks, thats what I ended up doing. We ended up mourning dove hunting nearby. I kept Maple with me watching the water (went to the ponds on purpose), Dawn stayed a ways away so the gunshots were softer, and Maple did amazing. Next weekend we'll get the shots closer yet. Maple is a handfull at home at times, but in the field she's amazing. Im very proud of her.

Lazy Sunday.......

 

She ran fields last evening, then both running around outside this morning while we did some winter prep work, stacked wood, cleaned chimney, and replaced an outside spotlight. Now we're all tired. Need to rest up for the game later, buffalo wings and steak bombs on the menu for that!
