Had a fun week in Dixie... Monday, we delivered another load to a repeat customer... The reat of the smaller logs went on first Finished it with some other oak Wednesday, while waiting on the storm to blow thru, I found things to do under the tractor shed... Made a notched board to clamp the pipe to make more hinges and latches for rhe totes Had 4 totes to prep... Used spring clamps and small boards to hold gate while putting hinges on... Also cut the 4 bladders in half Today, we cut a tote of 14" post oak...
Me either but seems like I do way too much of it. Be heading back home for most of the weekend to try and help with honey do list.
Same here but when the temps creep past 90 and the dew point is above 70, I have very little motivation to sweat my arse off. Seems to be more and more of that lately.
I understand that. Then I look at the piles of wood we had/have on the yard, think about what we have had to throw away because it sat too long, how much we sweated or froze getting it here...motivates me to get it processed...
No, we were very blessed, just some rain and a little breeze. Distant cousin lives in Valdosta, about 3 1/2 hrs/180 miles south, near Fla state line posted these pictures of his neighborhood... His house...
Had a good Labor Day, while Miz Carol was resting her aching back, I went to the woodyard. Had some assorted logs to process, a maple and beech from the Plantation job, and a chinaberry tree from a neighbor. The chinaberry... Seems soft, probably be SS wood Tote also has some short post oak on the bottom, 18" red oak on top I saw another DeKay's brown snake on the edge of the woodyard A customer picked up a cord of oak Saturday, moved Blue Samson to that rack, and staged more of the Plantation oaks for processing. Start on that when we get back from vacation
Picked up 4 more totes last week while I was on days. Got 2 of those prepped for wood. I think that makes 10 we have gotten so far.
I need to count, but think I'm up to 13 here at the house. Want to double that at the least and closer to 36 in the end would be great. Have plenty out at Bunny's so they should be safe (I hope).
Not you at all. I have my processing area plugged with splits and uglies and I'm wanting more space. Wife thinks I'm going nuts. 5 years out and still looking for wood.
