That is some good looking firewood right there. Probably my favorite wood, SM.

I’m looking forward to it. It will be the first time I’ve used the winch this year.

We have some frozen ground. 3” of snow kept it from freezing good. Made several trips out of the woods before it got to muddy. I’ll be back at it first thing in the morning.

It’s been awhile since we had a mild winter. It’s another reason to get ahead.

The overnite cold here wasn't enough to change anything.
I need a week of cold when the water levels are low to get at the maple that is down in my swamp.
Water levels unfortunately are high. There just isn't enough Winter left here to have the kind of extended cold I need. I'll be taking some near the edges and that will be it for this year.
Won't be paying the taxes with firewood from the land being taxed again this year. LOL

No, I keep it in pole building. The Quonset hut is great for fire wood. Always a breeze going through it, in the summer it provides shade and it keeps the rain or snow off of you unless the wind really blows. I’m able to process wood no matter what the weathers doing. I’m in the process of emptying it out. I’m going to pour a concrete floor in it.
