Getting Down to It

We are a bit behind and are finally getting down to business-- it's been one hell of a year. The old lady ran over 3 tanks of gas through the splitter. Here she is working:



My best friend went into my brother's basement and tossed out all the leftover firewood from his basement. It needs to air out before it goes into mine.

Here is a pile of what started the day as poles that I used the 034 super and it's 16" bar to speed through:
Here is a good shot of what else needs done at my brother's. The splits in the truck are headed to my basement and were blocking the poles on the right side of the photo.

The pile is what the old lady got split. The rows behind it need to go to the basement:

Been raining here all summer, except for the days we've had a heat index of a million. That's a lot of why we are so far behind.

 

We were in a drought all summer, and 90s. That stopped and it's been raining ever since.

Thank Backwoods Savage for 3 year plan but I'm still behind

 

We use the 2 year plan so we are fine but now I have to process two years worth. Meh. The area has been flooded since February.

Nice to see the good lady handling that job like a boss. So your job must have been to snap photos...Haha

 

Yep, she does a good job and knows I can't do it all on my own. She doesn't touch the saws, but knows the ins and outs of splitting. She often runs it by herself while I am bucking.

Sure did. The last update changed all my keyboard settings and I STILL don't have the bagel emoji!

I hope that dry weather continues for you Griz. Seems like we’re getting the rain now, but not like you guys did all summer thankfully. We were in the same dry boat as Canadian border VT and now it’s sprung a leak

 

Its misting here now but we got through a bit of it yesterday before Shabbat. Will try out hand at finishing the pike by the splitter tomorrow and moving a few loads in tomorrow and Monday.

 

Looks like your Mrs could teach a few of the boys a thing or two! G ood work there - sucks having to play catch up, but the work still needs to be done.
