I would have thought that a diesel would have had a cheaper a fuel bill plowing.

When diesel is $1.00 a gallon more than unleaded gas, then it's going to be hard to recoup the difference. Now, when they are nearly the same cost, then mpg costs will make up for that. The maintenance costs though...

Maintenance may be twice the cost, but 1/4 as often in my experience

huskihl that experience may depend on usage too. Kids nowadays and their diesel commuter trucks that never really work maintenance is much more frequent than work trucks. According to my BIL who always buys used diesels as he hauls cattle and his mechanic.

It also depends on the diesel. Today's emissions and assorted controls sure make diesels less enticing.

If you like listen to music make sure to listen to how you normally would while test driving them. The set in mine stunk. The clarity and drive wasn’t there. I had my buddy replaced the four door speakers with higher quality ones before I went up to the GTG at Dennis’s. Now at 1/2 or just above half volume they sound much better... I’ve got the old ones to if you want to see them...

The lariat and up trims have the Bang & Olafsen stereo. It's very nice, better than the Bose in my Audi.

For me a truck is a tool- no soccer mom stuff needed- I will relent and say that the electric windows and AC are nice ( when they work).

I think it was more than that on the early Eco Diesels...but time wise it has to be out, or close to it.

No idea...just guessing because I know Mad Dog will do mods to that truck when he can. Next year he will get 11 mpg heading to FL on 35" tires with a tuner that winds that Ecodiesel beyond its limits! Lol

You right I think I remember that. I know the regular gas ones are 36k. Maybe there 50 or 75k? I don't think it's 100k?
