You have only put 100 miles on it, yet you would have had to fill your old ford up 2x ?o_O:makeitrain"

HAHAHA...Maybe the Ford only had an eight gallon tank or it had a 30 gallon tank and 2500 horsepower...Don't be a hater Clem!!

Wow, that's a long commute. My commute right now is from the bedroom to my office about 20' away! :D

Have you looked to find where the block heater plug on the motor is? I read the block heater is installed on ALL the motors, adding the option just gives you the power cord to plug into it which can be bought on Amazon for $12. I watched a youtube video showing where the plug is, it was hard to see but it looked to be just inside the drivers side wheelwell on the side of the block. But I could not find it...

I use to do 54 miles one way. I didn't mind it at the time but I was young and didn't have a family. And after a half hour commute now it seems long.

LOL! I always said Fix Or Repair Daily, never herd "Fill".... that's classic.
I think my F150 burns gas sitting on the driveway overnight!! :makeitrain" is right!!! But she is/was a good truck. Got the job done for many moons, I can't complain.

My worse "commute" was when I worked in NYC for a year. I rode the LI RR for an hour and 30 minutes, then transferred to a subway for 20 minutes, then got out and walked for 20 minutes to my office. Was ALOT of fun when it was 95 degree's and humid in the city with a shirt and tie on, and was also fun in the slush and snow and 20 degree's out in the winter. Almost 2.5 hours each way, 5 hours a day of commuting after 10 hour days in the office. That last exactly 1 year, could not take it and said I would never do that again. A wise old man I worked with when I was 25 once gave me advice I will NEVER forget: he said "Work where your live! Don't live where you work or work where you don't live."

    :D

Very cool truck! After a few weeks now... getting to know her... Have not found any faults other than what I already knew. The steering is very l-o-n-g for lack of a better explanation. In otherwords, it takes a large radius to make a U turn with this ruck. This and the bulbuls hood on it, make the truck feel very big. Still getting used to that.

Set up some cones with sticks out the top and practice like in drivers ed. :p But seriously. Lol. I drive them everyday at work and after you get really close, to hitting something with the front, a time or two you'll have a good idea. Yours should be the best with entry/exit mode.

Try pulling a power wagon on a two post lift in a tight shop where you have to do a 3 point turn or more to get into the lift. :hair::hair::hair:

Do you mean the "Easy Entry" setting for the memory seats where the seat slides back when you shut the truck off to make it easier to get in/out, and then slides back when you start it? OR are you referring to the ride height, lowering for entry/Exit? The only problem with the later is, you have to manually tell it to sit down with the press of a button. But I never thought of that helping when parking/visibility...

Anyway, the hood height I will get used to as with any new car, getting a feel for how close to things you can get. But the steering is weird on her. It turns like my boat does... you have to turn her hard over to get any kind of a turn in tight corners, and as I mentioned the steering radius is terrible/very long. They should tighten that up.... The truck is not that long, but it acts like its a bus.

I was referring to the ride hight. Kinda figured you would have to push the button. Otherwise it'll wait till it sees the trans in park.

Yes they do act pretty long but that huge blind spot in front doesn't help. Once you get used to how close you can get to stuff in the front they don't turn too bad. You get the hang of it and congrats on the new to you truck.

There's been 2 guys on the F150 forum that's reported losing brakes while driving. That's more scary than blowing up an engine or transmission.

I ordered new aluminum caps for my DEF and Diesel fuel (magnetic and has a seal).

They sent me 2 of the Diesel fuel caps.

Send me your Addy via PM Machria and I'll send you this Diesel cap (still unopened).

Figured I'd share the wealth. They protect much better than the stock plastic cover.
