I need a good storage spot like that. I bring in a 1-1.5 days worth of wood at a time.

At Mama's house, we used to store wood in their basement when they ran both stoves.

Man, with all the wood being moved and stacked, one might think winter will be here soon! :saw: :axe: :stacker: :stack: :stack: :stack:

did the math. If I stacked that area full it would hold 5.25 cords. I’m tossing the middle so you lose quite a bit there and I won’t be filling it. Figure 3.5 -4 cords. Usually have some left over. There’s some splits on the back wall that have been there 10 years LOL
I think you’ll be fine. Much depends on your stove. You’ve got backup just in case right?

Have oil of course and electric. It's a Jotul F400 on our 1000 sq ft. first floor so I keep the fires small.

keep it dry and you should be fine. Sometimes that’s easier said than done :)
I’m heating 1800sf with my PH. Last year was the first time in awhile that I had oil backup. Dang oil furnace rusted through and I used it so little I was in no rush to replace it.

That is just too dangerously neat. If your wife sees that, you might inherit more tasks to do that you won't enjoy as much as you do stacking wood.
