Jack, When will you know how the vote went?

I just voted, the volunteers thought it would be announced by 9 on a local radio station. Good news is her name wasn't on the ballot, but there was only one name on the ballot and three open seats.

A little late for that, everyone I know already voted.

Listening, waiting for results. I feel better knowing her name wasn't on the ballot-- anyone who knows her name probably knows not to vote for her.

The results are finally in, my neighbor won. But not that neighbor, one of my good neighbors! And also, his uncle is wood burning mayor I mentioned a while back. Also, he is also a neighbor of my bad neighbors and would likely go out of his way to make sure they don't get there way. I think we are safe to burn wood for years to come.

That is good. I think you said there are vacant council seats. Someone might get appointed to those seats, ask your good neighbor about it. Load the council with wood burners and you can set the stage for protecting that interest.

They filled all the vacant seats last night. I will talk to him, though, about getting on the council next time there is an opening.
