Geminids are putting on a nice show tonight. Description I read said to lay down with feet pointed south and watch 2/3 of the way up from the horizon- that’s roughly where I’m seeing them right now. Snow on the ground and a stiff north wind, so we stood with the woodshed to our back and saw quite a few.
With a temp of 30f right now, there's no laying down. Watched the south sky and for me, it's a bit lit up from the town of Gettysburg. I did see 1 or 2, then noticed more in the south western sky. Caught another 5-6 and that was all in about 15 minutes. Pretty cool! One appeared to curve a couple times. Maybe optical illusion.
