I'm hoping it's nice and fast to northeast NY too! Not that I NEED them right now, but I'm very impatient when it comes to ordering stuff online. Especially saw parts!!

There was other places I bought GB bars in past. Cant remember their links from 7-8 years ago. Jeff S. something was the name of one of them that sold alot of GB. I cant remember his store anymore.

    18″ GB Pro Top Bar – GBF UHLX18-50PA – K095 Mount – 3/8″ .050″

    $27 $19

ON SALE – While Supplies Last

GB Pro-Top is a durable replaceable sprocket nose bar designed and built for demanding professional users. Like other GB professional-use bars, the Pro-Top is ideally suited for high-speed / high-powered chainsaws where light weight and extreme durability are required. Pro-Top bars are precision engineered from high-tech, lightweight alloy steel for extra-long life and easy maneuverability.

The Pro-Top’s sprocket nose assembly supports the saw chain as it rounds the nose. This reduces friction, allowing greater chain tension and up to 25% more cutting power compared to professional hard nose bars.

I was looking around on LCS last night for gb bars and chain for my stihl 029. I found bars, GB for cheap in 18", but had a hard time finding chain for it. It uses .325 but I'm not sure what other details I would need to order. Bailey's sure makes ordering easier, as you look up the model of saw and then you walk through it that way. LCS makes you know more about the chain in order to place an order and get the right stuff. Maybe it was just the mobile site dumbing the content from the full site?

Try the GB Forestry Web site:
    http://www.gbforestry.com.au/
They have a bar finder just like Bailey's and each bar description has all the chain info you need.

Your chain needs to match your bar. Kind of simple really, ie. if you have a 20" 3/8 pitch .050 gauge bar then you need a 72dl 3/8 pitch .050 gauge chain. I guess the hardest thing to remember is how many drive links are used for each length bar. I hope this helps you out.

Some of my 20" 3/8 050 are 70DL. So be careful and know what you want and need. ;)

Yes this is true. I had an old Homelite SXL that had a 70dl chain.

I see, so here's the 18" GB bar chart for my 029.
What I get is that I don't need to use a .325 chain. I could use a 3/8 chain with corresponding link #s. All but 1 bar is .063 gauge so that pretty much isn't a variable.

If it's a Stihl bar on the saw now, I'd bet money that it's .063" gauge chain.

Yep, stihl bar now. But 16", and I want a little longer bar. So I'll go 18".

SN/T28-63PA is the GB part number for a orange 28" bar it's a 3/8" .063 ga. bar. But it doesn't look like Left Coast has any in stock:rolleyes:
