$2.69 in Poughkeepsie ny and $2.79 @ Hunter mtn NY where Im working at. Its actually cheaper ($2.49), at the station right off the exit of NYS thruway than on top of the mtn.
2.19 for the ethanol blend and 2.69 for ethanol free ..... that was this past weekend, who knows what it is today. The little store I get my ethanol free gas from keeps the price the same until he gets another delivery and then recalculates his price on it. He does the same with diesel, both on road and off road versions. Seems the regular blended stuff gets recalculated every 12 hours at most of the stations and swings of over 10 cents in that time aren't unusual in the winter.
Ranging from 3.20’s to 2.50’s depending on where you get it at and which grade. Closer to the highway..$$ but residentially a mile into town can drive price down by 30 cents.
For a minute there I thought we were going to have to call Scotty Overkill and his BAN hammer!!!!! We're paying 2.19-2.29, just got back from Chattanooga Tn and paid 1.99
some current market forces: Gasoline flows away from New York Harbor as Midwest prices soar price of raw materials has been inching up since Summer too.
At least we are not in the great neighbor to the north Canuckistan, where I was a couple weeks ago and it was $1.09 a liter. $4.13 a gallon. Just north of Toronto.
Analysis and projections for the U.S. Petroleum & Other Liquids - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)
We are generally not too far off of Alaska prices. Right now I am seeing $2.73 for the low, and over $2.80 for the high.
Remember 18.4 cents is federal tax + Alaska has 26.4 cents on gasoline & 32.4 cents on diesel Michigan has 61.3 tax per gallon of gasoline Say $.45 of our price in AK is taxes (I read Oil refineries make about 5 cents per gallon ) + have a good mark up at the pump Plus it has to get transported several times to get to the pump
Use GasBuddy all the time. Costco is almost always a dime or more cheaper. Time to get a vehicle that has some electric range if the price keeps going up...
Is it crazy that I don't really even pay attention to the price? I used to chase .10/gallon clear across town, then realized that I'd save $2 for a 15 minute drive through traffic. I have a new philosophy for gasoline: I gotta have it, so I will pay what they ask. I am not rich, but I can do nothing to dictate my fuel costs other than driving frugally and not making trips that are unnecessary. I work with a fellow who loses his mind any time there is an increase. His commute is 2 miles. Obviously, if station A is selling at 2.00/gallon and station B is selling at 1.50/gallon it is worth a little extra drive and time but the stations here are always within a .10 window of each other with the satellite controlled pricing. I commute about 8 miles one way, which translates to 1 gallon of gas per day. I spend less on gas to get to work than a lot of folks do for one cup of coffee from a chain store. I will add that I am not a filler upper *unless gas is unusually cheaper for some reason.
