It's been a rough year.... I had 4 Mators just up and die pretty much. I'll have to check them tonight... But this weekend they just went limp....... Not all the same variety or in a row...
All things considered mine are doing very well. I've pruned the chit out of them to keep the blight at bay...but with all the rain and cool Temps I'm fighting a loosing battle. Going to try a baking soda spray tonight...
We've had constant rain for about 3 weeks, with some nasty storms this past weekend. The corn got roughed up some, but it's fine. The potatoes took a helluva beating, but they are pretty resilient and should be fine as well. Still waiting on our first tomato. Picked a few red ones yesterday, but they were rotted on one side, because of all the rain I think. We have a week of sunny days on tap, so everything should return to normal, hopefully.
summer squashes starting to roll in. just a few squash bugs and culling out their egg clusters. I shouldn't say this, but no signs of that dreaded squash borer that killed my last two seasons. no sign of blight on the tomats, don't see many bees though hard to gauge production. still a long way from my plants giving up a red one. cukes are bug free and loaded maybe first this weekend.
Mine looks really close. The ears are getting pretty big, but the silk doesn't look like it's ready to turn brown yet.
Those are beauts. I bet you have a bumper crop because of the rain this year; I can't keep up with cukes and beans!!
"who needs somer squash" already getting to that point! actually had steamed portion with parm and butter this morning. if the bugs stay away best in years/cukes coming this week. looks like a dill, cuke, yogurt salad shortly.peppers and tomats still not close( stupid me forgot a cherry plant this year.) have a day
While waiting for tomatoes, found three Black Krims hiding on the ground in the center of the plant--overripe and split. Because of the dark color, they were camouflaged.

best tomatoes I've seen are grown under a shelter to control the rain and air drift. Late blight is airborn. Once it is your neighborhood, most tomatoes will get it and die within a week. I've had it way too many times. Never has been a problem in the solar space.
