Planted a few of those this year. Hoping for a big one for the fair if it gets ready. I'm at 125 days from planting till the fair.

There’s a sweet spot where they gain 30lbs a day. For me that starts in about 10 day if it stays warm and last 7 to 10 days.

Two dry days with a hot dry wind and single digit-20% humidity, everything dried out so fast! Working on rehydrating, everybody got a soaking drink and now each 10" pot taking turns in a bucket of water.

I wondered why you were posting pics of the beautiful stacks of wood and pool. Then I saw the maters.  The wood piles were the first thing I Looked at.

This heat has been great for the pepper patches...

Some of the 2019 canning effort so far: black raspberry/strawberry jam; dill beans; cucumber pickles and okra pickles. Pickled beets are down in pantry.

    upload_2019-8-18_15-53-58.png

Today's effort: Tomato sauce and sweet/hot beans.

    upload_2019-8-18_15-55-7.png

Yesterday's "canning": 15 one lb propane bottles for deer camp at the off grid cabin, then the coming winter's spearing season. I fill these off a 30 pounder. (fall, then winter is right around the corner now!) The yearly cycle continues...
