Thanks Woodsnwoods but it's taking a thumpin with the high winds and bug damage.

Well Seasoned , I had planned on having some with ice cream tonight but I stuffed my face full at supper.

Hammy, is your area drying out?

It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Still a foot or 2 of snow pack in the woods and a bit of snow in parts of the fields. Decent amount of rain coming the next 2 days then it’s going to be nice again. We got peas, spinach and lettuce planted in our greenhouse last week. Trying to finish up our bathroom renovation as well. Not in a hurry to get out to the woods this week but I am hoping to next week.

Hope all is well with you and yours with all the craziness out there these days.

We have 30 confirmed cases in out county but the last I read there was none in the hospital.

My days will be spent outside c/s/s, hopefully we stay healthy.

I had it last night, it was very good.

Tomorrow we'll put in more wood and hopefully fell some trees on the backhill, we have a bunch of Ash in that area.

I had two wind damaged maples one was already bucked up by the splitter and the one in the picture, what was left standing is the first picture and the top that was snapped off in the second picture.

    Both loads were stacked.

No, that's the American CLS 24 ton that we've had, the MTD has a small leak in the gas tank which we'll either get a new gas tank or a whole new engine once this chit works its way through this area.

After doing some trail clearing for the wife, I decided that this wind damaged beech would get taken care of.

Picture 0091 is the downed beech,0134,0135 and 0136 is the beech bucked up and in the trailer heading home. The last two are a snake who was getting some sun, there were another three small heads sticking out hole near the stump but I couldn't get a picture.

I started this yesterday before the American CLS f'd up after splitting the first load so today I used the 20 ton MTD, I split the ironwood and the beech last and then I stacked it.

Pictures 0142 & 0143 are loads of cherry I s/s yesterday, 0146,0148,0149 are some ironwood stacked on top of some hard and soft maple and the rest is some beech and ironwood stacked with some cherry.

The MTD has a small leak in the gas tank when full but under half full it's just fine. It sure is having a second splitter, after this storm comes through we'll see if we can get more ash down so we can work the old girl even harder.

Today we're making some bread, it has been mixed and hopefully it will rise.

Thanks buZZsaw BRAD , even though we have plenty of seasoned firewood I'm behind on the amount of ash trees I wanted felled, I'll see if I can get about five on the ground once this weather system pushes through.

I'm hoping to get two damaged Maple trees down before the weekend is over and I also want two or three Ash down that are in the same area I felled the Ash last year.

Monday looks like we could get some high wind gust, 55 mph from the forecast tonight according to NOAA.

I might have mentioned it in a private conversation but I'm thinking a whole new engine for the 20 ton, hopefully I'll find out on Monday.
