The last picture is of what a wreck looked like in 1921. Not sure what happened there though.

Haha, I know people from Alaska who moved to the iron range and decided to move back because the range was too cold...

I know the bear trap guy. He is kind of a duck weed.

Brings back memories of a previous job I had.

I used to drive a food deliver truck (21,000 GVW = about 10 tons).
I got put on a new route (for driving directions, we had to follow a customer list to stay on route). Midway through the day I came to a 1 ton bridge.

I called back to the depot to ask the boss "WTF"?
He said, "oh it's okay, drivers have been going over that bridge for years. You got customers on the other side, just go".

So, I would (everyday) start back from the bridge about 300 feet, get that food truck up to about 45MPH and try to "leap" the span. (it was short bridge) LOL!;)

I was young and figured if I had enough speed, then even if the bridge went out from under me, I would still make it across B4 gravity took it's toll. LOL.

I never had any problems. But a few months later I heard about another new driver that ended up much like the photo posted here. He must not have got "up to speed".
